Cybershadow – Battle Walker Crews - £8.75

This is a pre-production limited numbers release of this figure set and contains 1 of each sprue type shown in the main image.

A full production set will be released in the not to distant future.

Restricted to one set per customer at this time.

Note that these are first generation master castings the very best castings you can get.

Figures represented are: Pilots and commanders both seated and on foot (some with small arms), technical drones and engineers.

Well, I guess I’m buying a couple of sets already.

They look amazing.
Already planned on a few titans with details but now, may have to go LED interior with crew etc because why not?

Vanguard is just getting more and more impressive.

I have painted up a detachment of the new Affray B squad heavy weapons - these are in Great Crusade/World Eater colours (with some trusty old classic GW Land Raiders for accompaniment).

Have to say they are lovely little sculpts. Almost no flash and hold just the right level of details for the scale I think, so you can do everything you need with a wash and drybrush.

To be completely fair, it is something that happens with real-life APCs. They are mostly clown cars.

Most baffling one might be the BMP-1, which is... well, it has fuel tanks inside the troops' exit doors. I starts at "ridiculous" and goes up from there:

"How do we fit inside that thing?"
"Well, mostly you curl up into a ball. And pray hard."

Well my order is in, got some buggies and airborne troopers on the way.

I finally got around to flocking the bases on all the stuff i already have, need to get some pics taken.

Managed to paint up a few marines. The new Affray Squads are fantastic sculpts. You can tell the forefront maniples are older sculpts, they feel a lot blob-ier, but as with everything in this scale that's no huge deal. (The dread is an old Epic one, not from Vanguard)

Love the artillery contingent too. There was a chap over on the Tactical Command forum that had recreated the ForgeWorld Vraks campaign using the Vanguard miniatures and it looks bloody awesome.

Looks really good - I have been tempted by that Elysian airborne for a while, might have to get them at some point.

i'm just glad i could build it all in epic scale. if i had to buy it all in normal size from GW/FW i would have to take out a loan LOL

Thats also not counting all the epic scale terrain i have gotten over the years from greigsters lab, JR miniatures (RIP), monpoc, brigade models(great 6/10/15mm -and even smaller- terrain) and novus design studio that does double duty for battletech games.

Those 6mm battlewalker crew would be so full of character for a 6mm Necromunda/Inquisimunda gang.

Meanwhile, those airborne heavy and light combat cars would be great for a liberate Angelis project (i.e. a gang for 6mm Gorkamorka).

Update from Battlegroup Helios:

UPDATE
All Zeus pattern ships and the spear prows have been approved for manufacture. Mould making could start in as little as two weeks with a pre-xmas release quite possible.
Panthera and Lynx, both are now being re-printed and will be put back in production as soon as possible.
Also now in the queue to follow on the heels of these are another ten vessels for various factions.

I know! It's a Soviet APC so the troops should be in front of the fuel tanks. Fuel and APCs are worth more than soldiers after all.

Still better protection than the original M113. Better firepower too.
