I cannot think of another kind of game in which this kind of stuff would make sense.

Warhammer Underworlds. Part of the lore we've been getting has had an insectoid race that dwelled within the Beastgrave.

I honestly thought it was vespid too, before I googled what they looked like. :(

It looks like the ambull too, but thanks to BSF, we know the baby ones are like centipede/scarabs

I would love to see an insectoid race for AoS, Warcry, Underworlds, etc. I think they would be a blast to paint.

Yes but a lot less likely.
Underworlds is the perfect place for new unique races and factions.
New things like Centaur people (wolf riders being back in this setting) and so on..

The Kurnothi are the only "real" new things we got.

The gits on wolfback are actually hinted/mentioned in Gloomspite. The TLDR version is there's a big schism in the Gits past, where some turned to worshiping the Bad Moon and others the Evil Sun. The Bad Moon is venerated under the mountains and in the caverns and the like while Evil Sun is the Gits who are believed to be almost extinct by Sigmar and his followers, but supposedly are rampaging around the plains of Ghur(Realm of Beasts, which is where Beastgrave is set).

Dayum. Are we maybe actually getting a new army of bugs for AOS? That would be the bee's knees! (heh)

Most likely not. More likely than not it's an objective marker or something of that nature for Underworlds, which has Direchasm as its setting--which is itself a deeper bit of the Beastgrave.

Its the mythical insectoid race from beyond the ogre kingdoms.

Ah. Don't know whether to be sad now, or if its a stealth Old World sneak peek.

Full disclosure: neither. Its a fairly tiring cliche.

those remind me of the centipede on the gloomspite gitz cave shaman's staff, the head is almost identical. AOS seems all but certain, but no idea whether it's a main release kit, underworlds/WHquest or something else entirely.

And now that I think about it, the last rumor image pic look a liiiiitle bit like the talons on the lead mount for the goblin spider riders, and the chains make sense for a pet...dare I get my hopes up for a plastic forest goblin boss + giant cave-spider?

which faction uses chains like that?

I seem to be remembering that the different factions in AoS and 40K usually have a specific style of chain.

But maybe I'm imagining that.

I'd buy the heck out of a forest goblin army.
As long as they don't go to heavy into the goblin/spider hybrids, like grot scuttling.
(Although there is precedent for it. Arachanork had a four eyed shaman, and the leader of the spider riders had multi eyed masks.)

They're 100% fantasy chaos. All of the Khorne Bloodhound, many of the newer Khorne daemons, and the Slaves to Darkness Start Collecting all use them.

I have 6000pts of AoS Khorne mortals so I recognized them instantly.

Probably means it's something for Warcry.

Well the owl rumour engine is in the preview for this Saturday (for the Lumineth warband - which we pretty much knew anyway).
But there is a tiny bit more of the picture visible now on there, the arm part

I can't find the link to the page with all the rumor pics, but isn't the Hedonite Archer's arrow another rumor engine? The peacock feathery arrow looks familiar (I know the other peacock feather was tied to nurgle)

What’s interesting is the claw didn’t match the Dread Pageant, I really thought it would be in there..

Only two claimed by today’s reveals.

Still, all the clawed hand things, and possibly the sword and other martial looking bits, could be one warband if it’s Vamps..
That’s near 10 in one go if so..

My biggest question, what were those Santa looking boots from 24/12 last year..
It’s bugging me..

Nope. We still don't know what they're to yet.

Best guess is they tie in to the Ork we saw in the 'minor heroes' video bit.

I’ve been all remiss and like, seeing my lass this weekend.

Has anyone else spotted any other “solveds!” from the previews?
