I was also thinking that the profits made by the tournamnet could go to a charity, opinions?

I like the idea of a 1st anniversary tournament. Charity idea is bloody good too.

Hey dudes... I've beeen in touch with Nick about the 40k Narrative Campaign weekend we're running in mansfield in December.

I was wondering if any of you were interested in attending. I've included the link once more for you guys to check it out.

http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/440020.page

We're trying to make the Campaign Weekend an opportunity for Gaming clubs to come together and for dakka users to attend a large scale event together.

I for one, would love to attend. I don't have an army, which is a problem.

If i did, then i would not hesistate to attend.

mm, I can see how that could be a stumbling block! If any of the others show an interest you are still welcome to join us without a force if you like, or play alongside one of your gaming club compatriots with their army.

Hi guys,

I'm sure I've messaged Nick and Formosa previously about the club (some time ago now!) and have been keen on poping down but, alas, other commitments during the week have prevented me from doing so.

I'm still hoping to swing by at some point though as I've pre-ordered the Zombicide kickstarter and was possibly looking at getting into Dropzone Commander; I wanted to know if anyone else would be interested in either games!

Dropzone does indeed look awesome, UCM are my favourite faction atm. Although tbh I could see myself buying stuff for all 4 armies given how good the models are.

I just think the detail is staggering for models that are just 3-12cm long

Just take a look at Dropzone Commander (3rd article i think) OMG its awsome, If people want to get into another system other than a GW one then this is the one to look at. So much talk is going around about this and the models are so beautiful and extremely detailed for such a small size. Post humans for me i think

Scourge.... dont no one nick them.... they are getting soooo converted into mass effect reapers, and like the dude said they are Clich'e but also rather Kitch (thats right i know wordseseses), but i digress (english lesson today).

Hey spanky, i need a spray gun for the Infinity scenery, niel tells me you can get a compressor and airgun from langleys (£10 for the compressor, £15 for air gun) as GW paints aint gonna cut it on these, its too thick/thin, i will also need some hummbrol paints, about £2.30-50 each. so can we get on that?

Also lorna, did you hand in the spray the club bought or re-imburse the club? thankseseses

I have it if you want it.

Also, the new paints use a liquid pigments, and if properly thinned then they work just as well.

I did talk to alex about getting a spray gun, but he didn't think it was nessacary. (On phone, sorry about spelling)

when i said "can we get it" i meant "we need one anyway so lets get it" lol

and sod the GW paints, i have always used Hummbrol to spray the consistency is much better and it layers well, this scenery is soo good i dont want to mess it up, and i will be keeping a close eye on it to make sure it is not damaged like my terrain

I will post a pic of the 1st finished set

Is this the warmill stuff. And alex would be mroe than happy for you to buy one, but the club doesn't need one itself.

I disgree, long term cost efectivness it will be more usefull than having to buy a spray can for every set of terrain lol
