Damn Blacktalon is fierce! Easily the best Stormcast model so far. And she's paired with the second best and third best models in the line... that's an amazing box.

I will be honest , I would have preferred a boxed game without the stormcast, but I suppose every game will have them, its like dark imperium stormcast/sigmarines versus nurgle.
Hopefully the snail will have a 1 inch movement stat!

You know if the heroes will be available separately? I want the Blacktalon model.

I am not sure there is a word to accurately describe how bad that slug is, maybe terribad?
Not only does it look like it's from the 90s cartoon 'ahhh real monsters' but it's got weird design elements, like the anchor/ plow its pulling to 'slow' the slug down.
It's too whimsical and cirquedusoleil.
Nice PG grim dark universe they are setting up.
Only redeeming piece is the shell, which has a ton of garbage on it.

Since it's been mentioned, I actually wish it was an anchor just for the silliness.
I'm not wowed by the snail but my opinions on models often changes over time. It's unique, and for that reason I'd like one in my nurgle army.

The Nurgle character is quite interesting. Reminds me of a silly "Earth Wizard" who lugs his gardening supplies around. I must say I love the humor of it; he's got the planters, the potted plants, the giant gardener's shears! The theme here is "Putrid Gardener".
Yes it's silly but in a gloriously befitting way, and I actually love it. :
Oh and the "anchor" is a plow; he's plowing the garden of Nurgle and sowing his seeds.

My gripe is there is only one snail.. I would have loved snail cavalry. I am hoping this dude is the equivalent to the Lord-Aquilor and that we might be getting some follow up like the vanguard palladors !!

I am so getting at least the Blackthorn as a single figure off Ebay. She will fit so well with my skirmish force of Stormcast who all have bare heads (carefully chosen from Space marines).

Both items have the same basic function. I'm just more familiar with the cultivator as that is what my grandfather used back when I was young. Either way, its a farming implement and not an anchor.

I want that model and the game stuff like the campaign book and what-not that comes with the box.
Can't justify buying the whole box even if I had the extra cash.

Just noticed: you can only pick one of each Allies box per order. This surely will help the them to not be sold out as quickly, but still, plenty of them will be gone quite soon.
And I don't have money for even one right now, and I bet the Warherds and Spiderfangs will be the first bundles to be sold out, fml.
On the new Blightwar kit: that snail looks totally wasted. It is goofy as warp, but I want it.
Also, notice that the Warhammer-Community entry says that this will have exclusive miniatures, so expect Blacktalon and Slimux separately next year.
I really doubt that GW will not make them available on their own later on, so far every exclusive kit has been reboxed and re-over-priced. And there is no sense in making mono-pose for already existing sprues.
Also, this might mean that Slimux is not going to be compatible with 40K. Just might be.
You're :p

Wow, those are some impressive miniatures. I haven't been following Age of Sigmar lately and just coming back and I am really impressed with these minis. I just found out yesterday a new edition is coming out. Man I am missing a lot.
Back to reading in what I have missed.
There is no AoS 2nd Edition. GHB and similar books only work as expansions and minor reworks. We will know when GW relelases a whole new edition.

I noticed that GW had a 1 box per order limit on their site too. Though not before I ordered up 2 Warherd boxes from a 3rd party site...

Well thats pretty awesome - I want all of those models Plus having resisted Stormcast fro the most part I donlt have the other stuff either - the Stormcast cavalry is awesome as are the birds - happy days.
She would also make a cool 40K Chaos Champion or even a Custodian - bit big for a Canoness I think.

Audrey II made me smile.
I don't like the model, but I have a feeling it's the paint job. Give it a go with a Blanchian paint job and it'll likely look the part a lot more. It seems to me like a lot of the randomness you would have found in the Realms of Chaos books has made it into this model, but the cartoony paint job lets it down.
Plus, the inorganic CAD look that occasionally plagues GW models, but what can you do?

Don't pay eBay scalper prices. Everything else in this box is an existing kit, so we can safely assume Blackthorn and the snail rider will eventually be available on their own for a reasonable price (probably $30-$35 USD for Blackthorn, I'd bet $50 for the snail). If you can wait a few week (or more like 2-3 months), I would.

Yeah. Scalpers are the ones that resell exclusive miniatures way way overpriced.
The guys that buy boxed sets like Burning of Prospero and then sell the content separated ask for cheaper prices even compared with third party sellers. (Custodes, Tartaros Terminators, MK III and IV marines ,etc...)

The price for the set will be £95.
It is about the same price as buying the Stormcast side individually. It is following the pattern of the 40k box sets. We eventually got the tyranid, spacewolf, blood Angel, and ork heroes seperately but we are still waiting on Eldrad and Artemis is only in the deathwatch start collecting set. I think some of those minis took well over a year to come out and none of them were cheap.
I expect the Stormcast hero to cost £18 or £20 and the slug to be around £30 when they come out so if you can get them on eBay for less than that, go for it.
