Its pretty big based on the skull, hard to work out the angle as well I think its wings, could be new daemon prince or a new manticore.

Not seeing this as a sail. Looks more bat like in the joints.

Chain link style certainly looks similar.
My money is still on a Warcry beasty, the final shape of which could basically be anything. Possibly Manticore-esque (wings, pointy tail), possibly far weirder.

Yes, most of the Slaanesh deamon range and Hellstriders have skulls
trapped in their standards but still...

I'm definitely getting more "sail" vibes than wing vibes from the pic. Also, that skull looks kind of dated, like one of the old skulls you'd get in an orc boy kit.

every skull on a slaamesh standard is a skull denied to Korner, which means the standards are mocking khorne; pretty perfect for slaanesh IMO

Hmm, my first thought was 'sails', too, but they seem to have quite similar 'finger' joints and creases like big Morathi's wings have? Given the damage and chains etc, I'd bet on a chaos/destruction/death mount or Warcry beastie

besides that, I wouldn't be surprised if khorne is secretly a Slaanesh worshippers. I mean he has an excessive need for skulls and violence and Slaanesh is after all the god of excess

See, the lack of "fleshy" joints and tattered nature of joints makes me think it's not a living creature (esp. since the sail/wing seems to be set up vertically, something no monster except greater demons and Morathi do) so either an undead construct or maybe building? Sail would make sense in that regard.

It’s not uncommon for Dragons and Wyverns to be sculpted with tears in the wings?

ooh, the chains hindering a dragon or sth from flight sounds interesting, together with the other rumour engine pic with the chain + tail - could be another diorama-style centerpiece model like Bonereaper Dude or Triumph of St. Katherine ... (but then a chained monster would also be a neat gimmick for the Warcry catacombs setting?!)

I would lean towards organic wings except for the pose, we can see from the freehanging skull that the plane of the wing is completely vertical, which would be very rare on a creature.

Oh yeah he totally does, and is an upright enough model to have the wings totally vertical.

I'm also now positive, from the way that the wings look, together with the Skulls, chains and rings attached, that this is Bel'Akor.

Which makes me wonder, if this is indeed the case, what would he be released for? AoS or 40k.

I would guess AoS, since he is a much bigger player in that setting, and has a better backstory in that world. I would however not be miffed if it is related to a 40k release.

The rings around the wing digits are very Be'lakor too...

An open wing is popular with GW these days for making winged models look even bigger. And Belkor is very under-size now that the greater demons are all sized up!

Apparently he did play a large role in defending the Eightpoints from Lady Olynder...and we don't really have a "Daemons" army in AoS. We just have them in their respective battletomes.

I'm convinced. You can see the hanging skull in the pic, and GW only makes art that mimics the model now.

The art most likely mimics the old model.
