Digging the funky hair colours on the vampires, have you added some form of face paint to them as well?

Nice work on those vamps. Cool batrep, always nice to see minis in action. I always slack off on the photos about halfway into a game. Get caught up in playing, not documenting. Not terribly surprising.

Vampires do look swish. Was worried that their silly poses might be too much, but seeing them 'in the wild' I see that they are actually quite good!

Thanks youwashock! I like their story, they are the young nobles who switch sides to Radukar instantly and were turned into vampires themselves as a reward.
Thumpingbear wrote:Those are some great Mordheim batreps Viterbi. Can you take a pic of the entire board next game your group gets in? It's fun to see battlefield set ups. Hopefully you'll get that vampire down in the next match, don't forget to buy garlic for your heroes!
Good work on the lycanvampires, I like the facepaint. Cherubs are looking nice too. That chubby one in the middle is a great sculpt.
Thanks Thumpingbear! It may be some time until the next game, but I'll try to remember to take some shots of the whole board. I actually have forgotten about the garlic, next time I'll take some with me, thanks!

Thanks ListenToMeWarriors! Yes I did, the studio models have some as well (of course theirs contrasts really great with the light skin and is painted much smoother ).

Thanks Nevelon! The game was on edge the whole time, so it's really easy to miss taking pics. I always regret it afterwards, but it's better around this way and not have a boring game and lots of pics

Thanks lGtR=! Their poses are really cool and as they are unique models I quite liked what the sculptors did here.
The flying babies are done, nothing fancy, because in reality they could be replaced by making a note once you used their ability and remove them from the squad anayway. But they are fun little minis and are quite fast to paint up.
And will now dig deeper into the Cursed City set and start with painting the new skeletons and their Watch Captain leader.

If I were a vampire, I'd probably do parkour. There would no fear of falling and breaking your neck. As long as you're not jumping over any wooden spikes, you should be good.
Those skeletons are such good models. Didn't have the cash and missed the box set release. I've made up for it since in the amount of Skaven I've bought, so there you go.

I finished my first skellie from the Cursed City set and am very happy with the color scheme. Wanted to have a contrast between vibrant armour and cloth and the rusty old shield and sword. Now there's only 9 and their Captain to go
And I finished the first of my Dominion kitbash sisters. Wasn't sure how to emulate my color scheme on these models, but am quite happy. A friend of my sister's boyfriend luckily was able to print me some backpacks, because I didn't find any on bitz websites. It was a bit hard to attach and I have to find a better solution on the other four, but it's a nice look overall. And on the big pics I see I made a mess with the gold on one of the shin protectors. Need to clean that up.

Great work on the Dominion Sister bash. What a unique model you’ve created, and with your unique color scheme it stands out even more. You have definitely created something new that I’ve never seen - which is great and one of the best parts of this hobby, in my view. I love the look of a cloak and hood with armor over the top, and the sword and pistol loadout. It’s a nice mix of monastic motif and practical combat reality.

Thanks Gwyn! It's an easy recipe. I based with Iron Warrior then put Typhoid Corrosion over everything. Once that was dry I drybrushed with Leadbelcher. After that some watered down Nihilakh Oxide over everything and to finish it off some Balthasar Gold for the details.

Thanks MobileSuitRandom! And very interested on what colors you will settle for your skellies!
We had another 50 PL 40k game yesterday and - Spoiler - the sisters of battle wreaked havoc. Again I missed taking much picture, but end of turn 5 only 5 Necron Warriors were left "alive" (after killing the squad once over at least, stupid reanimating robots ). My canoness again died in battle, but taking the Necron gunslinger with her because of my army abilities to get another attack in when rolling 5+ after being killed. Although it has to be said that she should have killed him several times over beforehand, but rolled very abysmal again. I mean hitting on 2s and wounding on 3s, how hard can it be
Anyway, mission was to hold the four markers (two barrels, hatch and console). I had first turn and pressed forward immediately securing two of the four objectives. Suicide Squad Seraphim came from the skies and with Deadly Descent stratagem killed his spider (it always bothers me, so was happy to see it go). His turn he had to concentrate all fire on the Seraphim (who had a 2+ save against most) and the Rhino. He popped the transport and I lost a Retibutor at emergeny disembark, but luckily my Hospitaller was on that flank and resurrected her next turn.
It was downhill for him from there, I started the second turn with getting 15 VP, because I held two objectives and he only one, so I fulfilled all three conditions for the primary objective. Sisters really pack a punch, but the Necrons can hit hard too so end of turn 3 there were decidedly less units left on the field:
Retributors were the MVPs this game, killing the barge, one unit of Immortals and generally not dying because of the Hospitaller.
On turn 5 it was mostly cleanup for me, most devastating action for my friend was Celestine resurrecting and standing there again with 6 wounds, killing the Immortals while he got killed of with a melta shot to the face from a BSS squad.
Getting some Lost vibes
"And my plan would have worked, if it wasn't for you meddling living saints!"
The sister with the meltagun gets a commendation, because of giving the Overlord the final shot and melting his living metal.

I have been very idle since the last post, slowly getting some brush time in to get a few more skellies done for the painting comp, finished the Ulfenwatch Captain. Also startet with some other random bits, to have some variance. Aenur will probably never get played, but he was sitting like this in my friend's cupboard for ages and we may use him as an NPC in scenarios. The servitor scribe will be used in Stargrave as the Soldier class with the lockpicks.
With Stargrave I also finally have a reason to paint my two GSC characters, Biophagus will get work as a Medic and the sniper as a... sniper Will also paint up some of the Elucidian Starstriders for Stargrave, except for the Medic one, she got a 50 mm base, some scenery and will be drafted to my sisters as a Hospitaller.
Got some gaming in the last two weekends, but I'm afraid I don't have many pics.
First time the scenario was to get the merchant's son safely out of Mordheim. My Halfling thief infiltrated, got to the son first turn, dodged four shots from my friends norse bowmen and than slowly retreated back to my edge to get the NPC off the board. The norsemen slowly pursued the thief, but never came close to do any damage. On the other flank the Undead burst onto the scene, but got hindered by Harvey the Ogres (bonus points if you know that Pratchett reference ). It was Rampage mode, they are now S5 T5, opponent have -1S in close combat and he has a 5+ FNP, if attacks get through. He fought against 7 Undead and killed 5.
That won the game, as did the Vampire failing to hit the five Hobbits that were in close combat with him and getting dragged down and staked by the good Shire folk.
Unfortunately two of my heroes sustained chest injuries after the game, reducing the Toughness of them to 2 for my leader and to 1 for my Youngling
Second game was last Friday, this time the portal scenario. You go through one of six portals, roll a D6 and either jump around the battlefield or get attacked by an Elemental or find the treasure you then have to get over your edge. Managed to win this game too and again because of Harvey. He teleported far away first turn, than failed the "All alone" test and nearly fled the battlefield. But he rallied, jumped into another portal and really managed to get to the portal near my Hobbits to aid them and deflect the attacks by Undead and Norsemen. Up until his arrival my Halflings managed to retreat orderly and passing the treasure chest on whenever one fell.
Youngling leveled up after the game and is now back on Toughness 2 again
Loved this side shot, Norsemen and Wolf are advancing on my Halfling bowmen who have already dealt with the two Dregs that came out of the nearby portal.
And as was requested some time ago, an overview of the board (missing the Stoic Arms, it's hard to incorporate without all games ending in a bar brawl ).
