I was there, but none of the photo is mine, just reporting some link:

We start with just some links with pics, easy understandable also for non italian-speaking people:

http://it.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/tornei40k/my_photos

Click on the first gallery on the left (MOD-CON & Imperial Battle), then the first 40 photos are the scenarios for the IB2 (still the Ultramarine cruiser is missing), the last 15 are from the final tournament of the Italian league (the one with the Goldrake's shirt and the Eldar Codex is me)

Next: Battle in action:

Ultramarines, Dark Angels, Grey Knight, Sisters of Battle, tyranids, Eldar, Dark Eldar, Imperial Guard, Tau, Lost and th Damned, Chaos Space marines, battling on:

2 subterranean tables, 5 urban, 2 daemonic worlds, an eldar craftworld and the interior of an ultramarine space cruiser, all approximately 144x84 inches with a mean of 5 players per battle.

Super-Heavies, Flyers, Titans (forgeworld and scratch-built) around every corner.

All at the same time, on the same place and with influencing each other real-time.

Um, ouch.

Can someone please help me pick up my jaw?

We did a 3-table megabattle early this summer, but man, I feel like a kid staring down the Raiders defensive line all the sudden.

Quite possibly the most amazing collection of battle pics ever.

Those Termie pics make me want to go buy two boxes of them. Right now.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling, which thinks that nothing is worth war, is much worse. The person, who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

This must have been the most amazing mega-battle ever. I would have loved to have particpated. BTW, the quality of the painting across the boeard is the best that I have ever seen at an event.

I was just thinking the same thing.  Nice detail on a lot of the terrain, too.
