Finished my third Valkyrie, despite the best efforts of the decal sheet to prevent that (the new decals from Forge World are excellent, but the old ones - the single-colour sheets that have been OOP for ages - are a nightmare. I foolishly decided to make a squadron of three using the Aquila wing decals and I hate them. ). Sadly out of matte varnish at the moment, so it's sitting looking oddly shiny and with no canopy.

That gives me three Valkyries, a Valkyrie Skyclaw and an Aquila Lander for landing troops, with a Vulture, Thunderbolt and Lightning for top cover and clearing the LZ.

Painting up piles of Munitorum crates and fuel drums to use as quick and dirty scatter terrain for Kill Team.

Currently, I have 8 Dire Avengers to paint. Not sure if I'm using them.
Nevertheless, I'm toying with Bien-Tal and 2 or 3 times 10 Dire Avengers in Serpents. Ouch!

Finishing up the lower half of this DDA, and starting the body.

Well. I was building more models for my Cryx army today, but while I was heating up my dinner I saw a tin can in the recycling bin that got me thinking...

So, I made it into a terrain piece. I have to make the ladder tomorrow before getting some gravel on the plasticard and priming it. It will be the perfect test piece to try out the paint scheme I am thinking of before starting on my nicer buildings.

I am trying to paint a small bunker, using a block of wood.

Started working on bunch of grots. I need 99 plus 2 runtherds. I have 20 all done, 30 skin close to done and rest in primer only. Also need base for 50 of them to be done.

Oh and did I mention I need them done in 2 weeks? And tuesdays and wednesdays no hobby time...Going to be close.

Primed a bunch of models for Test of Honour, small amount of paint on some Stormboyz and a game of Flames of War (v3, as v4 doesn't exist)

Painting the bases of jungle terrain. Then a lot of flocking will occur. Fairly certain that I have enough coffee grounds.

Playing around with some wood filler and homemade texture paint for my space wolves bases. While listening to Wardruna no less.

Trying to clean up and put together metal starfurys and thuderbolts, this is tedious.

Basecoating some Kommandos for an Ork Kill-Team, working on the gold of my Custodes Telemon Dreadnought and playing a 2K game later.

Getting five more Stormboyz to the point they can hit the table, the fine details can come later (stuff like checkerboard markings etc)

Today I am going on a glue run so I can finish my Mantic Battlezones boxes and put together some Berzerkers. I get my glue at dollar stores because it's so much cheaper and does the same thing, plus they have a great gel and thin variety that mix well together. The thin stuff is great for filling in seams like on these Battlezones buildings. I use a lot of the thin glue. I always get funny looks when I buy glue cuz I'll get $10 worth at a time. At the dollar store that's a lot of glue and no one ever believes the tattooed guy wearing all black ISN'T somehow making drugs out of it.

Spent yesterday 10h working on these 79 grots. Need them, 2 runtherds and nob painted in less than 2 weeks on tournament.

Think next i do the 2 dreadnoughts. Less models to paint!

Got 3 stages more done to grot hord. Techically will pass all painted as all parts have base color minimum if not more. Well except eyes, teeth and tongues

Nope. These are conversions made from existing GW kits. Each one uses a Triarch Stalker and Annihilation Barge, 2 Tomb Blades, parts of a Doomsday Ark, and 2 harnesses from a Drop Pod.

Assembled a plastic contemptor. By the Emperor, it's an easy build. It's like a snap together but doesn't have any snaps.

Doing some work painting the Midnight Stalker and a Hans proxy for Malifaux. Yesterday I built my stuff from my Gencon order, so aiming to start painting them in the next week as well. Starting to ramp up productivity again, mostly because I have my last M2E tournament at the end of September and I want to use some of these models there.

Gluing power weapons to bikes. It's Melee Time!

Maybe getting to finally basecoat my dreadnoughts. We'll see.

Painted 2 runtherds and nob with big choppa. With this my army for next week tournament is 100% matching painting requirements though 79 grots still aren't up to MY standard lacking most of highlights and some shades but they are playable with every part having base colour in intended colour as minimum. Some shading and highlighting also done.

Finishing up a unit of wraiths. I think that I'm bored of painting necrons. The units are just so repetitive. Same weapons, same scheme, same techniques. I need to soldier through this unit then I can get back to Dark Angels and Knights.

Finished building 2nd squad of Daemonetttes for Mrs Reavsie. Ugh, getting the arms in line can be a pain. While holding and waiting for the glue to take you can't see well enough to know if you've lined it up properly or if it's half hanging off. Oh well, only had to re-glue a couple.

Going to reward myself by building the Gravis Captain from Dark Imperium before moving on to 3rd squad of Daemonettes.

First offer did not work out, so trying on two more. (Dakka Swap shop)
