The status of the EU pledges is back into limbo once more it seems.

To begin, Euro-Zone (Europe, Africa) orders are loaded on a container, although I do not have confirmation on which ship that container is assigned to, so I cannot give an ETA for when it will arrive in the UK. You will receive tracking from the UK facility when they apply postage, we will keep you updated with the container progress as we can.

Just as long as I don't have to deal with the functionally illiterate sociopaths at Customs I don't care how long it takes.

Any guesses whether a UK shipping hub will still be relevant for EU backers by the time Bones 4 is shipping?

Would be nice, but I wonder.. will Bones 4 be more done to death fantasy or will we finally be getting some more scifi for a change?

The problem is fantasy has roots in history and myth and generally everyone can agree what a fantastic world would look like so you can use fantasy figures with almost any game.

Sci Fi tends to go in much wider directions with most enviornments having their own look, an X-Wing pilot doesn't really fit into Starfleet or the Imperial Navy.

So my guess is MOAR FANTASY.

Then unless they do a partnership with a company that does do sci-fi, it's going to be one boring campaign with feth all to pledge for imho.

They might be able to manage if they do some not-series based on some of the vaguer settings.

Space western has a rather distinct style that could cover for things like firefly and a number of other series.
Space fantasy is a great excuse for jedi knock offs
ISO Standard is good for big bulky looking vaguely scifi things like their existing troopers
Anime style absurd interlocking plates.
Space empire for those full face mask bad guys that are magically everywhere
Toss on some space crews in either bulky suits, skin suits and then oddly featureless uniforms.

You could totally build this out. I'd wishlist some cyberpunk but I know I'm well alone on that.

The real question is would that actually sell.

That said, got my shipping notice on bones 3, looks like it's going to take about a week per the tracking information.

I mean, people find edge uses for figures in all kinds of places, but I always got a sense that their meat and potatoes were likely Pathfinder/D&D groups.

Sure, there are plenty of games and genres that could use figures too, but that's always been my take.

To be clear though, I'd be happy with them broadening their offerings. I don't run D&D at the moment, so 200 goblins/skeletons/ogres/dwarves/etc doesn't hold much appeal, but one of the few packages I did get were the mixed adventurers, which I hope to use with a board game I've been collecting.

I didn't even get the base pledge in Bones 3, just a bunch of Large Infantry packs and Monsters for KoW. I intend to do the same again.

We do have some Bones 4 spoilers on the Reaper forums including a Baba Yaga hut complete with chicken legs.

I play a load of different skirmish games and bigger wargames so these will always be useful, but yeah, I too may be reaching peak Bones. I guess I'll see how close I am to finishing painting III by the time IV launches.

I am running a Pathfinder game for 9 year olds... I need all the Bones that I can get!

(I had a trap go completely pear shaped at the game on Tuesday - as when I was describing the slope and the goblins rolling a barrel into position, the kid playing the wizard yelled 'Ohcrapit'sabombFIREBALL!' which was accompanied by a natural twenty on his Initiative.... So, I picture his character saying exactly that, and firing off his fireball in the same breath... )

The reason I bought rules and became a real wargamer was because I wanted a properly thought out structure to govern the action instead of just making things up as I went along.

Quality seems to have improved on the material. Sculpts are very nice too, and the size of some models pleasantly surprised me!

I managed to grab my one regret off eBay for relatively close to the KS price, shipping included, so I'm happy.

My loot pile should arrive today. Guess it's time to start painting more of the previous one then!

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Anyone know what the deal with the little square plugs in the Graveyard fence set is about? One side has the copyright info, the other side has a weird protrusion.

Fills in the top of the fence posts is my only guess. Cut the peg or file the reaper trademark stuff to get a smooth finish on top. Gap fill with some PVA or superglue maybe? Think that's what I'll do.

Lots of really cool minis this time round. My favorites are the yetis.

Frogemoth has been a pretty neat one. It was a lot larger than I expected.

The new weapons are going to end up in my Shieldmaiden's hands. They look a bit large, which is fine.for who I intend to give them to

Kids liked the carnivorous plants from Expansion 1. Will certainly need more of those.

As usual I wish I got more add ons, but deep down I know I wouldn't have gotten to a large chunk of them any time soon.

I had two big wishes to my past self. Both came at reapercon. One was that I wish I would have gotten the savage avatars. The figures in person were some of the best sculpts I've ever seen. There were also a few of the less expensive dragons I skipped on that I will have to try to pick up at this years reapercon.

Highlord, are the weapons made of Bonesium or a more rigid plastic?

Weapon sprues are definitely rigid. I'll try messing with some and see if they take traditional model glue.

I got the clear ones and they seem to have been doubled up. One or two may have snapped but I think I can mitigate it.

Pretty happy with the large majority.

Camel is huge but I guess they are actually that big.

Frost giants are sweet for the price. Should have bought that solar and fire giant for the price...

The worm, dagon, and the black goat ar all well worth their cost. The dagon statue was kinda meh. For the price, it wasn't *nearly* the size of other similarly costed items.

Crusaders and corsairs are as cool as they looked.

The two chibi sets are a bit on the small side, I'm not sure if they'll match up with other stuff like SDE or krosmaster. Still cute. Mr and Mrs bones are pretty cool though.

FYI Grimdork, Solar isn't Giant sized, more like an Ogre, so don't kick yourself too much over that one

Shipping notice received! Looks like it's coming UPS, last time it was FedEx.

Ugh, FedEx. :-(

Mine was in the last half of wave 6. So it's moving along pretty well, much better than Bones I.

They are up to wave 10 now and only 3000-ish orders left to fill! They are really moving on this, I didn't expect to see my stuff until at least October!

I didn't see this thread back when it was started, but it is cool that Reaper is getting things shipped out (even though it has ONLY been almost TWO WHOLE YEARS since it finished).

I am excited for everyone one of the models to paint up, and let my kids practice painting on.

Mine shipped out yesterday! Woo!
