At the moment I have:
<table width="99" height="185" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" style="border-collapse: collapse;" x:str=""> <col width="121" style="width: 91pt;"></col> <tbody> <tr height="17" style="height: 12.75pt;"> <td width="121" height="17" style="height: 12.75pt; width: 91pt;">1 treeman</td> </tr> <tr height="17" style="height: 12.75pt;"> <td height="17" style="height: 12.75pt;">2 spellsingers</td> </tr> <tr height="17" style="height: 12.75pt;"> <td height="17" style="height: 12.75pt;">1 lord on mount
1 lord with bow</td> </tr> <tr height="17" style="height: 12.75pt;"> <td height="17" style="height: 12.75pt;">1 branchwraith</td> </tr> <tr height="17" style="height: 12.75pt;"> <td height="17" style="height: 12.75pt;">2 warhawk riders
</td> </tr> <tr height="17" style="height: 12.75pt;"> <td height="17" style="height: 12.75pt;">6 wardancer</td> </tr> <tr height="17" style="height: 12.75pt;"> <td height="17" style="height: 12.75pt;">6 wild rider</td> </tr> <tr height="17" style="height: 12.75pt;"> <td height="17" style="height: 12.75pt;">8 glade rider</td> </tr> <tr height="17" style="height: 12.75pt;"> <td height="17" style="height: 12.75pt;">40 glade guard</td> </tr> <tr height="17" style="height: 12.75pt;"> <td height="17" style="height: 12.75pt;">24 dryads</td> </tr> </tbody> </table>
What I have ordered and will probably be getting this week or next is:
another 2 warhawk riders
wardancer musician and champion
6 waywatchers
and maybe a lord with great weapon.

I fail to make armies under 1100ish points eventhough my local store to play
mostly has 1000 point tourneys. Anybody has any suggestions on how to make a solid
army of this? And would there be any suggestions on what models I'd need more?

Thanks in advance.

This is a rough list, not exactly at points, but at 1000, a good list might be something like...

Noble with HoD (and maybe some other gear) on Elvensteed
Branchwraith with Cluster of Radiants

10 Glade Guard
10 Glade Guard
8 Dryads
8 Dryads
8 Dryads
5 Glade Riders with Musician (maybe a standard as well)

3 Warhawks

--------

You don't really need two characters at this points level, though those two give you decent magic defense, the Hail, good Ld and some combat support.

You could also swap the Glade Riders for Wild Riders for more hitting power, though you'd need to shave points somewhere. The Warhawks are outstanding for mage hunting, but for pure march-blocking duties you could also just use a 50pt Great Eagle. If you did that you'd have enough points to swap a unit of Dryads for Wardancers.

The Eagle will be a very good purchase at some point. He's a steal for what he does. Otherwise the list of stuff you've bought looks pretty good. I might recommend picking up a second box of Glade Riders, because you can make three small units out of two boxes if you want to do a very speedy list.

Why would the eagle be a better marchblocker than the rest?
The extra gladeriders were indeed something I was thinking about and now a third party mentions it, I'm probably going for it. I'm not sure if more wild riders are necessary and if so, how many? Would a Wild Rider Kindred Noble/Highborn on a great stag ever get worth my money? Sorry to throw another heap of questions in the thread, but i'm really grateful for the advice already given.

The Eagle isn?t necessarily a better march blocker than Hawks, except that he does it a lot cheaper (50pts as opposed to minimum 120) and fits into smaller spaces. But he does do it very well for very cheap. And he takes a Rare slot instead of a Special, which may help depending on what other units you want. He also can be used to block/redirect enemy units, by placing him right in front of an enemy unit, and angling him so that if they charge him they will be exposing their flank to another of your units. Warhawks aren?t as good for this because they?re more expensive, and as skirmishers they line up to match the enemy's facing/frontage when they get charged, instead of the enemy unit aligning to match their frontage as happens with a ranked unit or a monster (like the Eagle).

I see a lot of lists posted with 2 units of Wildriders, and people seem happy with them. I tend to like using Wardancers and Hawks myself, and haven?t bought a second unit, but I do think it?s definitely a viable option.

The Lord on a stag may work okay in 7th. In 6th he was terrible because he could always be picked out by enemy shooting, even if he was attached to a unit of 5 or more cavalry. Now he can?t, which helps. Our characters are very expensive, so going with an Elvensteed for a mounted Lord can save valuable points. If I was going with the Stag, I believe there?s an item which gives both the character and mount a Ward save, so I?d look into that.

So I went to Ye Olde Warhammershoppe today, to inform on eagles, as they come in blisterpacks and are not too expensive at all so I immediatly could purchase one or two. It was then that I came to the horrendous facts that the shopkeeper cant get those anymore. I was shocked, as it once again is the third kind of model I wanted for my army to not be purchaseable. So now it is impossible for me to find a single eagle/war eagle, a forest dragon(maybe with the twin sisters) and mageweavers on unicorns or steeds. And I must say I'm no good at converting. I am very sad now. :(

I believe you can get the war eagle from another WHFB army. I think HE have one, though not sure. The same goes for the dragon, it's now generic.

HE should, like WE have great eagle blisters. Now GW thought it'd be nifty to take back those blisters with reasonable price and make the great eagle only purchaseable by buying a WE lord on great eagle (of which the mount isn't that nice looking as the blister) for 27.5 euro, which is more than double of the price of a great eagle blister. But it is purchaseable by mail order, but because of the augmented price AND shippings for someone who lives in belgium (and doesnt even has visa), it'd be as expensive as the mounted great eagle of the WE who has a lame cap and a useless hero, if I could convert the thing to make it possible to put the hero on and off it as I desire, I would purchase that one. Thing is that it's incredibly hard to get the cheaper and more reasonable blister and if I decide to I'm not making any profit. This all feels like a stupid hoax. I wonder what the HE have to do if they want the great eagle, since a WE hero on it and the lame cap would be even more lame for them.
