Harbinger Magazine has a pic of the Trollblood Pyre Troll and the Protectorate Reclaimer on page 7 of their new online version of their magazine. Be warned that it is a large download if you are on dialup.

Man, I like that model, but it's going to take some fancy painting. I wasn't blown away by the Pyre trolls abilities, but the model is worth giving him a try.

The troll is a definite pass, the priest is quite good.
What is it with these guys? They're sculpts are either fantastic or terrible, no middle of the road...

Pretty nice, but as Moopy said, its a Firegut Growler.

The flames could have stood a couple more highlights, but the translucent effect on the cheeks is quite novel.

Good news about the fireball coming out of the Pyre Troll's mouth. It's an optional piece and the Troll can be built either with or without it.

Impressive paint job, but I'm not sure that I like the whole concept of a big fireball like that.

"The last known instance of common sense happened at a GT. A player tried to use the 'common sense' argument vs. Mauleed to justify his turbo-boosted bikes getting a saving throw vs. Psycannons. The player's resulting psychic death scream erased common sense from the minds of 40k players everywhere. " - Ozymandias |

Make no mistake, that is an insanely good paint job, but had they done light effects, from the burning hands and fireball, it would have been sanity robbing.

I like it, but not nearly as much as the Dire Troll. This guy just doesn't seem as savage and unchained as the Dire Troll. It's the face that posing that kill his savagry for me. He seems more like a half-blood troll to my eyes. Or is he supposed to be a half blood?

He seems more like a half-blood troll to my eyes. Or is he supposed to be a half blood? Don't forget the Pyre troll is a Medium warbeast. Also remember that according to fluff the Dire Troll is the most savage of all trolls and even a danger to it's own kind. (Doomshaper brought them under control....bearly) So nothing should look as savage as the big guy pictured left. ;-) I don't think the Pyre is any less savage looking than the impailer or axer.

I dunno. compared to the fantastic artwork in Primal, I'm kinda dissapointed with this guy. If I ever play Trolls, I will get one for sure, but this guy just isn't what I was hoping for. well, let's hope the Troll with the goblin gun on top will be better

Is the fireblast coming out of its mouth a conversion? I think they did something similar with the smoke blowing out of Epic Caine's guns. Or am I completely off on this thing?

As I stated in my previous post it is not a conversion but an optional piece supplied with the miniature.
