Another option I was thinking of was adding two Autarchs with Reaper Launchers to a squad of 5 Harlies with a Shadow Seer (Veil of Tears).

On each turn that gives you 4 BS6 S5 AP3 shots, and the unit can't be targeted over 24", (more likely, 14" .  And if they get close, good in hand to hand too.  I sure this is expensive however ( think around 300 points).

This appears to me to be a really good idea for a shooty standoff army. It gives the harlequins something to do (protect the autarch) while they're standing around in case a countercharge is needed, and takes advantage of the autarch's BS6 and the long range of the reaper launcher.

Although, assuming a unit of 10 harlequins with kisses, it's closer to 450 points.  Over 500 if you put the autarchs on jetbikes.

keep it cheap, just stick w/ 5 harlies, no kisses. comes to 120 pts w/ veil of tears before autarchs. keep the autarchs cheap for that matter as well, reaper launcher the end. not sure if its worth the points to be honest. almost 300 points w/ 2 autarchs. 200 if you just use 1.

the other scary thing I think would be pretty sick w/ harlies is Maugen Ra attatched to a squad of them (seeing as they are not an "aspect") the maugen ra delivery system. 10 rending harlies, str 6 power weapon on Ra. 5 BS 7 rending pinning str 6 shots. if you throw in a death jester that is 3 more str 6 pinning shots (im a fan of them making the shuricannon assault 3). this unit gets scary expensive though. however it might be worth trying just for fun a few tiems. its hard to shoot at and has great killing ability for almost any target in hth or shooting.

I guess it might work, but aren't you going to be wanting to Fleet this unit, most times?

I don't think that, in the end, it would be worth the points to field...
