and its mighty mighty energy shield

making it less durable than a regular holofield.

Did GW ever address that? Thought those power fields were suppost to make them rad and resistant to damage, but holofields are better for that.

It'd be like.... spacemarine bikers being harder to kill than terminators.

wouldn't they be nicer if they just had holofields?

So in the BBB, they were 14/14/10 yeah? 14/10/10 warwalkers sound nifty
How was that? Never played in the BBB era.

That's ok, none of us played with 14 armor Wave Serpents/Warwalkers either. I assume you are referring to 3rd edition as 2nd and 1st edition vehicle rules were very different than today's. If you want to go back to a time when Warwalkers were absurdly scary, 1st edition is the only time I ever worried.

As far as Wave Serpents and Holofields; it would be nice, but we didn't get it in the new codex. They are still a pretty decent transport, even though a bit expensive. I like having a transport that is still a nice threat long after disembarking it's cargo. 7, S6 Shots is decent enough that your opponent can't ignore it even with it not being a scoring unit.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.
