Thunderhawk Pilot Dropping From Orbit

I don't know if this has been discussed but on a recent trip to costco I saw this..... http://s6c.joebattlelines.com/toys/reviews/2inch/2006/deluxe/wave1/dragonhawk.htm It was $37 ish there. Looks like a nice stand in for some of the pricier FW stuff. It even appears to have space for a landing/cargo pod to drop troops off. A little work and I am sure you could make a nice box to hold your IG or whatever. A truley adventurous modeler could join 2 together to make an ersatz thunderhawk! Had I not just dropped cash on Pegasus terrain I would be all over this. ender502

Yep, this and another GIJoe transport (albeit the usual 3.5" scale) were discussed at TMP some time ago. Just bear in mind that Sigma Six figs are something like 6" tall, so this vehicle's gonna be a tad, um, big.

It's huge though, that guy in front of it is 2"-3" tall.
Over at TMP some people have used them as drop ships, it's worth asking there if anyone has a good scale picture before buyng.

Iam pretty sure this is for the 2.5" scale line of figs. I saw this thing up close and it IS big. Maybe too big. I am guessing it is about 20" long by 17" wide. That's a very rough estimate. Like Kyoto said... perhaps some one could enlighten us about the actual sizes of the sigma 6 toy versus a FW flyer. ender502

I think the closest rules you can use is the ForgeWorld Aquilla Flyer.
Personally, I am against toys used in armies. However, this would make a great scenery piece to add to a landing pad. =][= it up and paint it well.

I've seen this in person and for 40k it is much larger than a Vulture. I agree with Mahu. It would be better suited to be used as a lander of some kind.

Ok. I picked one up because I am a sucker for deadly VTOL looking things. This thing is HUGE... really huge... like... I can sling a Land Raider underneath it for delivery, huge. No - I'm not kidding. The diameter of each engine nacelle is about the size of a rhino. The Landing gear is a terminator tall. Ender502's size guess is right on the money. 17.5" wide from nacelle tip to nacelle tip. About 24" long from tip of gun to tail.. I can park a land raider underneath it with no problems whatsoever. The Land Raider would likely have to back out from underneath it (not QUITE enough clearance to drive forward) - but it could quite easily be used as a stand in for a Thunderhawk Transporter variant. Sorry - I can't show any pictures for scale... I'm quite happy though... ;D

Hah! Some of the toys today are crap compared to the ones from the 80's. The transformers now suck compared to the original ones. Plus the GI joe toys from 82-87 rocked.

A guy in my gaming group bought Optimus Prime for his son. It has the matrix of leadership.
That is all.

As an old man I no longer buy toys. I purchase "collectibles." And then i take them out of the box and play with them. Alot. And no, my kids are not allowed to touch them. The super articulated Optimus Prime is dead sexy. Thanks fo rthe review. I may have to pick this GI Joe thing just to Inquisitor it up as suggested. ender502
