Where are you downloading it from? Fileplanet requires me to pay money and gamespot keeps freezing on me around 20 megs.

It acts lke it wants you to pay money, but if you have an account (the free one) you can still download it. It's set up to bombard you with "Pay Now" or subscription offers anymore.

Edit:  We'll I installed and tried to run it but it just gloes black after the develpoers credits and I don't feel like downloading it again.  So bah I says.

Wow, I thought my computer was lagging tonight. And sure enough, my DL speeds aren't even passing 300 KBPS! Either the 10MBPS this school promised us is a lie or the $10 or whatever I pay File Planet per month isn't worth it.

I got all the way to the game screen and the demo crashed on me everytime... too bad to, because it is awfully pretty!

Golden Demon standard?? I can barely paint Great Unclean One standard!

Gimme,gimme, gimme!

There'S so much warhammer joy at the moment, tabletop and gaming wise, I don'T know if I can take it anymore...

Anyways, will surely give it a try...Dark omen was the blast, and I shudder in exictment when I imagine the fightingfun with the Skaven in this game.

If you keep getting assaulted by gay subscriptions when you try to download the demo, you probably have spyware.

Another working link... downloaded it from there.

Cool game, I've played through the first chaos chapter. But I'm still a bit confused that you are not allowed to switch bling from one hero to another and that the sorcerer was deadlier in a duel than my chaos lord.

Anyway, test this baby out!

I keep getting an error message that kicks me out of the game whenever I'm at the Loading Screen for the Single Player Campaign. It always says something like it's performed an illegal function or something right as it's almost finished. Anyone know how to get past this problem?

I've heard that having anti-virus or other programs running during install can cause the problems like some people have been suffering. I can't speak from experience though, mine worked right off the bat.

Also, you can drag items onto the ground from a character, and he drops it, ready to be picked up by someone else.

Ah...thanks, my installation worked smoothly, too. Even with a Antivir program.

The Campaign is a bit boring and linear, but it seems like the demo campaign is more of a tutorial anyway, so...

As far as I see there is no advantage of one unit type over another. Cavalery, once bogged down, is very fragile (I was suprised).

The animations could have been a bit better, I think the kill-cam style appraoch of relic in Dawn of War would have add a bit of atmosphere.

It's a bit like Dark omen with many more units and playable armies. Very nice!

Is it worth buying though?

Has anyon e else played around with the 'Army Painter" fuction? (To draw a Dawn of War comparison) Its quite impressive. Not only can you manipulate the colors of your army, you can also change the look of each individual unit, changing heads, arms, armor, all sorts. You can have up to 8 or so variations in each your unit types, so theres a huge amount of variation throughout the regiments which is really nice. The one thing I feel that was left out was the option to change the look of your heroes. Apparently its ok for all your Chaos Warriors to look different, but every Chaos Sorceror or Champion looks exactly the same?
Its a shame, that would have been a great place to add some fun options for customization.
