Why not both? Necromundan Squat window-washer’s Jetpack. Adapted for combat by swapping the soap in the jet dispenser for promethium and adding powerfield nodes to the squeegee.

Reddit made a comparision with the jetpack nozzles on 30k Thallax:

Especially the leg boosters look very similar, the rumour engine picture might just be the 40k-ified version of the Thallax boosters, similar to the shared design cues between Kastelan and Castellax robots.

That's a huge stretch. The nozzle is a classic modern rocket nozzle, it's similar to the one on the Thallax but the part it's mounted in is completely different.

Thursday?

It's possible for GW to be porting some more FW kits over to plastic for HH releases.

It's more likely that if that's what it's going to be, that it's a plastic version so still not Forgeworld.

I think that just lends credence to it being something for Votann; they have a number of similarities to 30k Mechanicum due to their whole “dark age of technology” schtick.

The only thing that makes me think it's not Votann is the fact they have hover droids and hoverbikes already. Why would you have crude thrusters when already mastered anti-grav hover technology?

Generally hoverplates and the like keep you afloat, but thrusters are still needed for acceleration and quick changes in direction. Even the eldar and necrons still rely on thrusters despite being masters in anti-grav technology or technology in general. The only examples of their technology that does not have sizeable thrusters is stuff like weapons platforms that usually does not go much faster than infantry speed.

Okay Tsagualsa, that's a fair assessment.

I personally don't see Votann from this but I'm willing to be wrong.

It's a chaosy banner or something like that, and pretty obviously 40k or 40k-adjacent with the bionic eye on the skull. Seems to be rather small, perhaps a back banner or icon, not overtly god-specific. Do we have rumors about the content of the 10th edition starter set?

Definitely something Chaos, I'd say - the general structure is too much of an eight-pointed start to be anything else.

I don't see it as a World Eaters component, though, which does leave me struggling a little to place where it is likely to crop up.

Potentially a banner, or the top of a staff, if we assume the angle of this picture doesn't line up with "down" for the model?
