I've picked up the new No Quarter and have my collection of cards.  What do people think about these?  I personally play Protectorate but I still don't know if these cards will get me to play Flameguard Cleansers.

What do these mean for the future of NQ inserts?  Should I be expecting more of these in the future?

Why wouldn't you play cleansers anyway? The rear explody is big big fun.

There's nothing like running a cleanser into melee and facing his back to the enemy.

First response and already off topic.

Dakka, I salute you.

Not off topic. Just an argument in favor of Cleansers.

To me, the cleanser rule isn't the reason to play Umber Guard. You play
Umber Guard to see if Protectorate can marshall jacks effectively. Based
on the warcaster list, I would say the answer is a definitive "maybe."

Feora. Flameguard in CMD gain inspiration (awesome). Play Feora as a solo with
a Devout guard, and then marshall jacks with your various TFG units. Because
of the limited commanders, MAYBE try marshalling a Guardian for the banners
(though I think that slows your army and loses the effectiveness of the arc
node), or Vanquishers for the circular strike/ flame belcher. Or if you want
something to hit hard targets, Crusader or Castigator or a Dervish might do
well marshalled.

eFeora is tricky. Escort is too nice a spell to let go of. I haven't decided how to
work this one out.

Kreoss and Epic Kreoss will work well as solos. Because of their feats, you don't
lose out as much with marshalled melee jacks, so that's what you do. Maybe
give them a Revenger or Redeemer, and then marshall something hitty. If
you're scared without your Devout, get one of those too (I try not to get too
attached).

Harbinger's Crusader's Call might be a nice way to get marshalled warjacks into
melee. +2" movement is close to the charge +3" bonus. Without warjacks of
her own to fuel, she's casting Martyrdom and Crusader's Call/Purification
(either or, depending on the situation). I think this more than makes up for
having Rhupert in your infantry list, and gives you the option of fielding fairly
quick VAnquisher/Crusader chassis warjacks.

I like this idea, it looks like PP is going the route of GW with 'sub codecies' (i.e. Space Wolves, Dark Angels, etc.)

They did it in a very concise way, with a simple card that can easily be added to your army 'deck', with all the new rules in one place.

I think it's not intended to MAKE you want to play a special force, but rather if you already WANT to play one for thematic or fluff purposes, now there are game effects.

It will add variety to the game, and may move some players away from the more 'obvious' caster choices for some lists.

It sure helps out having a Mashall if you're running Feora. I marshalled my Castigator and never regretted it once. Run for free + combust? w00t!

I'm actually more into the normal flameguard myself with the new UA. Very keen.

And the Cleansers are pretty useful just for an incinterate to hide behind.

Well, the non-jack models I own are limited to:

Flameguard
Choir
Kreoss
Feora
Harbinger
Paladin

and Zealots + MB...oh yeah and a Seneschal, ok, that.

So it's not going to be hard to field an Umber Guard list. I just need some Cleansers and a couple of Marshall-friendly jacks like the Castigator.

I like the sub-lists, they're flavourful. And I'll have to learn how to get by without the Zealots+MB, instead of relying on that crutch.

I never really liked Knights anyways...
