Thanks everyone who came out to the tournament Saturday!  We had fourteen people this time, and just under half of the armies were in power armor; a good variety of armies is always nice.

Jaime Hatcher took the Overall with his Death Guard, though if Fred had a slightly better game he might have taken it down with his Word Bearers.  Fred Dalzell won Best Sportsman, and Carl Mueller’s Kroot Mercs took Best Appearance.  Fred, Carl, and Jaime were all actually tied for Appearance, at a near-perfect 24 (max 20 from the judges and 2 votes from their opponents each).

We had a lot of folks new to the store, and it was gratifying to see that they liked the store, the terrain, and each other.  We had even higher average Sportsmanship scores than last time, and several people even wrote extra little comments on their Sports scoring sheets and “Favorite” ballots, putting additional complimentary remarks about how cool a given opponent had been, or how nice someone’s army was.  Really gratifying to see what good sports and nice folks people can be.

I’ll be posting the complete scores later tonight when I get home.

Next time is Feb 10th, flyers are coming soon.

That was one of the best 40k events I have ever seen.
Why?
Well the players were AWESOME!
When a group of gamers gather have fun and make new friends thats the best part of gaming for me.
Ive had the players thank me for hosting this event at Empire but I dont know how to say thanks to those players for making the "atmostphire" and reminding me why I do this. The people!
And Thanks to Ragnar for putting together a event format that really brings back the fun and commradship that gaming was founded on.
Thanks everyone hope to see you at the next one!
Gordon
