I seem to recall a limited run of The King, The Bishop, and The Rook being previously available in a much larger scale at Revelation Miniatures website (which seems to have disappeared). Anyway, here's the full set at 28mm available through Darkson Designs' webstore:

The scale is a bit tall for 40K, (see here) but there's plenty of conversion fodder. Personally I think the Rook would make a perfect Praetorian combat servitor:

Thanks to syr8766 for the update on the Darkson page.

They're all quite nice, but I'm digging the King, Queen & Bishop especially. Pity the Royal Couple would set me back $14, I'm liking them more and more ...

The pawn looks like he could fit into an inquisitor's retinue quite nicely as a Crusader.

depending on the size of the rook it might make a good stand-in for Iron Guts used as DOW

I wonder what the other half of the set will have. If it has the sorcereress in it then I think I can have some fun converting them.

They're very Steamboy meets Lord of the Rings. Cool! I really dig the Knight with his jump pack and voulge.

Look like nice minis

but the scale comparison is stupid. Why pick an Ork as the GW comparitor? Orks are very hunched backed squat models. I don't see why they didn't just use a marine or a guardsman. Would've been much more helpful.

From the looks of it though they would be okay for use in 40k. Some great inquisition stuff there. You could always chop them in the middle and attach to GW legs also if height was an issue, or play around with them a bit.

I think a little variation in height is quite nice and looks natural, for example my Tau firewarriors are slightly shorter than the Corvus Belli Infinity figures that i converted as human allies. But I works as they are different species. I dislike GW's attempt to make all infantry the same height regardless of race. A human guardsman the same height as a supposed 7 ft tall super human killing machine? Brother must have got that power armour from last seasons sale rack.
