IIRC the story never got finished, it just stopped in a cabin with a Daemonette

It's not 40k, but still. In an old (really old) issue of WD they had this story of a Dark Elf who had gone raiding to bring bakc slaves so he could be higher up in the city. Turns out it's a religous thingy going on when two preistesses try and kidnap him tio be sacrifaced. He runs home t6o find his wife and daughter killed. In the story he promptly weeps for his lost loves.
Another one was also in WD (not too old.) A High Elf mother weeps seeing her son killed by a Dark Elf. not the same kind of love as before, but still love nonetheless.
