On a side note, i think thats a pretty sweet commisar, only surpassed by the Forgeworld commisar (the one executing a fallen soldier)

My favourite GW model (well FW technically, but I'm sure it'll count) is the Minotaur. Not because its the best looking model, because its not. Nor because its even vaugely useable in game.

No, simply because it is probably the stupidest looking tank possible, with ridiculously large guns that perfectly encapsulate everything that is right (and wrong) with 40k.

I actually like that tank quite a bit, though it happens to be quite a pain to assemble!

Something is was looking at the other day, was the Ork Runthereder from the gretchin kit. Although it may be plastic, its a wondeful model, really filled with character

Its very difficult compare a Chaos Lord of Awesome on an Juggernaut vs some plastic Cold One Knights, but they are both amazing models.

So... what categories?
