me too, but its mostly that the turret looks too fat.
the forgeworld leman turret does look fine, just the plasma front end makes it a little oversized for the body. It looks a /way/ too large from the camera angle since I wanted to show the painting on the hatch and such I /did/ want the dimensions of it to be a little "off"
I do need to finish the washes on the turret to get the red the same deep crimson as the body bits

STC Recovery Vehicle you say... I am certainly going to have to keep my eye on that. When I say the frame, I initially wondered "Ordinatus crawler maybe?" But saw the headline. Still very cool idea, I'll admit. But now the pressure will be on- build a titan weapon crawler (whatever its name is again...)!

the plan is to make a giant, 4 sponson land raider with lobster like mandibles made from defiler claws to "feed" the assault ramp

little progress update since there is interest here:

short update, for incoming madness

8 defilers unsprued and preparing to become stalk tanks

nearly 100 recast techmarines and realscale marines to replace grey knights
(might have the old grey knights for sale when this is done )

once talks are done all remaining parts go into the STC vehicle

7 are constructed (1 heavy 6 light) , only 4 pictured since with any more i couldnt make out all the bits.

I'm planning a Mechanicus army as well. A lot like this except my mind goes slightly insane at the idea of an army that could be fielding prototypes, exclusives, etc. etc.

I'll probably never get a legal army today just a ridiculous (but rather cool) mish-mash.

Anyway, I'll keep an eye on this.

Army is horrifyingly close to being tourney legal!

I was suddenly motivated these last 2 days so the knight titan is about 75% painted!

Dude this stuff is great, i am really suprised that ive missed it so far! I also got the ramshackle guys for my ad mech, in fact its amazing how many similaries there are between our armies, except yours is actually an army whilst mine is about 7 models because i get distracted too easily, link is in my sig if you wana see some more ad mech stuff. im subbed here tho, great inspiration.

Lol your too kind, but no amount of flattery makes 7 or so models count as an 'army' =p and really, the shading is just practice and lots of layers. =]

They are converted from defilers and various other bits

I can see it now. They look impressive, well done

Spent about 3 hours edge highlighting



Then did some airbrushing on the knight titan, camera makes it look harsher than it is in reality.

Looking to get my airbrush to spray a tighter grouping so I can detail the arms and legs
