Another reminder that this is a non-Space-Marine thread, so please no comments on Badab War, Huron, Scorpion etc.

Here better pics by Sparianos, posted by t-tauri on Warseer:

... and some info by MajorWesJanson:
The Eldar haven't really been pushed back. Badab was one book, became 2 because it was too long. The Phantom is hopefully out by Christmas, it still needs work, notably a head. Tony wnet into depth about it at the Seminar. Phantom is being made into a master, then they will convert it to resin and work out detailing and how to make it posable, and then set it up for production.

Also mentioned was that the sculpter (Will Hayes?) was slow (then changed to meticulus) and took near 3 months working on the feet. Reaver Titan stuff is on the back burner for now, even though Hayes really wants to do more weapons for it, like a Volcano Cannon, until the Eldar titan is done. Eldar are also getting a light tank, looks kind of like a Falcon cockpit section with winglets and engines, and some troops (aspect warriors?)

They also did a Necron model "impulsively" (apparently the FW guys got drunk and decided to make one, then later realized there was nowhere to put it in any upcoming books ) and Tony liked the Grot tanks so much that they made a Grot supertank, looks like an old Ironclad ship. Cylindrical turrets with 2 guns each in the front and back, large prow, sponsons with big shootas, topside turret with a grot using a telescope, and a tall mast. Turrets and guns are interchangable, maybe even with the grot tanks.

The Eldar stuff is looking awesome, but that Grot super tank is a little lacking. I hope they can do more with it. Its a shame they couldn't find away to bring some degree of the asymmetry of the Falcon into that light tank, that was always something I appreciated when pulled off with the eldar.

I don't like that Eldar skimmer. The tail is ugly and the attachments for the weapons and fins look distinctly un-Eldar-y.

The grot land battleship looks good, though.

The Phantom is nice, and I look forward to seeing it reach completion.

I agree: The skimmer looks a bit like my first attempt to use everything in my Eldar bitz box ... before I realize that I forgot the engine
Better convert the Vyper to have a closed hull than shrink the Falcon wings.
Personally, I also don't like the look of all Eldar Titans so far. Still looking for a chassis to put my old Epicast Farseer Titan head on.
Well, guess I will go on using EVAs.

Small tidbit on Forge World Fantasy:
WilhelmRochRedDuke at Warseer wrote:It was asked to the designers personally and in the seminar and the response was that The fantasy group is entirely seperate from the 40K side. The group will be announcing stuff within the next few months and it will be releasing small amounts of fantasy with the possibility of some scenery pieces. The scenery that they produce are not always cost effective.

... and another one by Warseer mod PhilBrad (GW's reaction to FW stealing the show on GD Baltimore):
GW email answer wrote:There are no Forge World Seminars planned for UK Games Day.

I want to third this opinion. I really WANT to like it, but... it just looks too flimsy and weird. Like someone's 10 year old built it.

I'll say. Leaving the engine out really reduces the weight.

Have to agree -- those little aileron thingies attached by bit of plastic rod on the trailing edges of the wings look like an amateurish conversion. I don't know aeronautics, but seeings how those pieces would presumably spin on the plasticard rod, I'm not sure what kind of steering they would provide. I think that would help with a barrel roll, but nothing else?

I'll assume that there is a single underslung engine. This would be enough for such a small vehicle, but if the other eldar tanks are already "fast," what role does that leave for this lil guy? Is it just an expensive, resin Vyper?

I do like the whimsical goldfish shaped body. If it wasn't going to cost $50, I might have bought one.

I usually love all the eldar stuff, but that light eldar tank just doesn't do it for me. Why not just make an uber vyper or something. or better yet, put out those new crotch rocket jectbikes that have been floating around for the last like 2 years.

if they put engine nacelles just above the backs of the wings under the guns it could look pretty good however.

Honestly, I feel like this deserved to swap with what won Silver. Part of it is probably because I absolutely hate Archaon conversions, especially to Empire Generals, but also partially because I think the freehand on the shield is somewhat lacking. Natalya Melnik's Teclis that won Silver was better, IMHO. Still, the freehand on the barding was beautiful...

I just hope FW shows some creativity with weaponry for the eldar phantom.. Imperial titans get like 10+ types of interesting weapons. Id be a bit dissapointed if the Phantom gets 1 weapon, IE a bigger pulsar, IE a bigger prism cannon, IE a bigger starcannon

And please someone tell them the reaper launchers on the revenant serve no purpose :( so please nothing like that for the phantom..( Its like giving the warhound a single heavy bolter

I do like the light skimmer tank minus the weird fin things on the back.. Its similar to the vehicle I designed for my Eldar campaign

The rarefied atmosphere

I think the skimmer has conversion potential in combination with a vyper. I expect GW has told FW that they can't touch the jetbike. They could have done a cool vyper conversion though or taken their design cue from the vyper. it's a goodwin piece so can't go wrong with trying something like that. It just looks a bit awkward, the new eldar walkers are genius for example and in comparison this just looks out of place. somebody did a conversion of a vyper once with d-cannons on the side and it looked amazing and they gave it some extra bulk. something like that would have been cool.

I think forgeworld listenend to people who thought about their superheavy turrets being converted to something else and saw a market.

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

Since we're on Dakka Dakka, some Ork clarification:

For the record, the Grot Megatank will be out within a month.

The orks are on the same vague schedule as Chaos, though they will visit the other clans as stated at the start of IA:8.

I pointed out to the speaker at the booth that the Grot Bomb Launcha needed some kind of weapon; a slugga, anything, in order to be anything more than a uselessly tankshockless vehicle after the launch. A look of realization came over his face. "Oh! Oh yes, I see what you mean! I'll bring it up." So I hope they may fix it sometime soon. You know, that way someone might buy the model.

I like the light skimmer except for the guns- they look too large.

So I guess what I mean is I like it as something other than a tank. If Forgeworld made a spin-off to 40K where everybody in the universe solved their conflicts through epic and violent speeder races, this piece would be a perfect fit for it.
