The Opel Blitz series of 3-ton trucks proved the true backbone of German military strength in World War 2. Production began in 1937 and proceeded into 1944 to which some 70,000 2x4 Opel Blitz trucks were delivered out of German factories.
Our Opel Blitz project is a well-kept secret especially for Salute 2015. Features include:
- A 2 sprue plastic kit
- Single piece truck cabinet for ease of assembly
- Truck side boards can be assembled in open or closed position
- Detachable canvas top with rear tarpaulin in open or closed position
- 2 headlights options - standard or small blackout lights
- Optional accessories such as reflector, searchlights, spare tire, and fuel cans
Enjoy!

I would think the Opel Blitz would be a decent seller, I have a resin one from Warlord but wouldn't mind having a few more.

Curious to see if it will remain an Opel Blitz though, most companies sell it under a far more generic "German cargo truck" name these days.

3D Prototype of our M8 Greyhound and M20 Armoured Utility Car. Need some minor adjustments, but overall design is satisfactory. We have added an open driver hatch which is not shown in the prototype. Expected release date is Q3/15.
Objectives of this 1/56 M8/M20 plastic kit is as follow:
- a 2 sprue plastic kit to built either a M8 or M20 armoured car
- two MG arrangements for the M8 – rear mount or ring mount
- open front driver hatch
- external utility toolbox or land mine rack option
- simplified interior
Enjoy!

NWS online gaming store stocks all of Rubicon's stuff. I always have very good transactions with them.
What is SOTR II?

NWS is awesome, just ask @Manchu as he has ordered from them in the past and speaks their praise
Golden Distribution is their distributor (formerly known as Warpath) so www.frpgames.com (which is their storefront), often they have random 30-40% off sales.

I personally can't really stand assembling proper model kits anymore (1/48 and 1/72 models). I need fast-build stuff like Warlord and Rubicon 1/56 or like PSC 1/72.
Sure a Tamiya 1/48 may be $5 cheaper than the same kit by Warlord or Rubicon but it takes five times as long to assemble. Same with 1/72. I _hate_ tracks in 1/72!
Oh gosh, I'm becoming a grognard.

That IS a very good point, and might be just enough to push my away from 1/48.
Are Rubicon and Bolt Action/Warlord kits 'easy' to assemble?

All Warlord kits are super easy to assemble! I haven't put any Rubicon kits together but they don't seem that much more complicated in reviews. They tend to have more options for folks who are really into the nitty gritty of WW2 vehicles.

If you want easy of assembly you want to go for kits with single piece wheel & track assemblys
moving up in complexity you hit 'rubber band' style tracks which can be a pain to keep in stuck together if you're playing with them,
and finally the work of the devil individual track links, the click the glue types which are slightly easier but very breakable, and the glue only types which are for masochists (and poor suckers like me who build accurate scale models)

Nah for a 'real' scale model Tamiya are the simplest of the simple...
Now Dragon on the other hand, so many bits, so many tiny bits, and so much photo-etched brass to bend into so many complicated shapes, glorious!

Tamiya is affordable, perfectly cast and designed with ease of assembly in mind. Only downside is, these aren't wargaming kits.
Manchu wrote:I bought an Italeri kit the other day. It was a rude awakening.
Italeri is gak quality, which is why I wasn't happy with Warlord working with them on getting more tank kits out. It's not as bad as Airfix is, but still quite a step down from Tamiya.

I've built some of Italeri's "wargamer friendly" 1/72 quick build kits, they seem fine. Plus I've no complaints about the kits they have released with Warlord.
