LEDs are like bacon. They both make things better. Always.

Nice work. I am curious to see how those molds work out.

Nice internal work.
Great job getting the LEDs in.
Good inspiration on the ladder tubes.

Ja, I have a large collection of those sort of packaging for quick plaster casts too.
Not used many of them though...

hello to those still interested

during the last days i have started with something completly different...well this sure isn´t news around these pages...but i even finished that piece...
inspired by many really good youtube tutors...i thouight i could do this too...(that´s of course the point of said vids...right?^^)
well...and a certain vibe stuck a chord in me... which led me to more fantasy stuff than actual 40k stuff...
so i made my own little corner of mortheim...well i started with this:

well...what do you think?

anyway...i am currently working on a second mortheim like building...not 100% architectuaral correct but fantasy,eh?

well...more of that later...cheers for sticking with me still^^

Yeah, Vik is back with more cool stuff .

Really nice work on the inn or shop, I see a plaque out front so I assume it’s a business of some sort. Lots of cool techniques used on it from the shingles to the stucco finish.

Since your checking out youtubers, try looking up Luke towen, he is a model train terrain guru. Lots of great tuts by him.

The great thing about fantasy terrain is it can be used in sci-fi games as a backwaters world settlement.

Hello lads and laddies,

well the first building was just the beginning....

look what i am currently working on...
what you here see is a tavern /inn medieval style...it is a bit big...but that´s how i fly^^

and some individual shots...:

at syro...unfortunatly i don´t have any WIP of the earlier build...but this new one here now shows hopefully plenty...
i kind of built both the same way... make a cube...and then dress it...the first building had lots of air dry clay for the stucco lookand i actually sculpted a lot...the stoneworks for instance...
the new building is more "traditional" foam cut bricks...the colourful wood work is made with actual wooden counting stick (pre school style...) on the whole everything you see here is recycled...

atm i am working on chimney and an inn sign...

so what do you think? on a more sinister side note...this project and the earlier one is meant to be sold via ebay... do you think there is a marketing base for this?

well...hope you like...

yours truly vik^^

It's really beautiful. The coloured timbers finish it perfectly. It's quaint and colourful. It could, perhaps, do with some foliage ?

hey graven...my son mentioned foliage in the earliest stages too...do you mean on the cobblestone or rather on the shingles on the roof?

and thanks for the compliment^^

Nice work Vik Nothing wrong with big terrain

Should be able to sell it on, there's definitely a market for terrain out there.

Not of ivy on a wall, and up one of the supports maybe?

Love the building and the paint job Vik . Perhaps some window box plants if you want to add foliage.

I HATE ivy....but it would fit the model nicely.

window box plants?...now there is a nice pittoreske idea...this could add a nice splash of colour...i love that idea already! hmmm....

as for the ivy...well as you´re a home owner...it´s understood...ivy can be a pain in the rear...it´s roots even are able to get IN your house...same as with lilac... but if you talk about aesthetics...well...it adds that dreamy touch to trees and walls... ^^ and if you don´t have to take care of said house...who cares^^

I grew up with ivy all over our house and trees. The only thing it’s good for is hiding snakes.

NO IVY , at least at my house. My neighbors is beginning to come through our fence. Time to get diesel fuel

Copper sulfate. Useful for algae control too. I do dislike Ivy as well. Hmm, all vines really. Common Greenbrier the most. But also Virginia Creeper.

Liking the building, Vik. The dormers are a bit unusual. Good to see that they are the right size. So many buildings these days have enormous dormers and they look ridiculous. Like they are compensating for something, maybe?

Will you add a chimney or two?

Carry on.

That looks GREAT Vik! I have to pay some big bucks to have a REALLY old Silver Maple tree on my property cut down, before it falls on the house. It's trunk is covered in Ivy. Here Creeping Charlie in the yard is common. It can completely replace your grass with a clover like stuff if you let it go. We live near a lot of old, historic homes (not European Old, but Victorian) , and some of the brick homes have well-manicured Ivy growing. It does look nice.
