This is a commission piece for follower of the blog who reached out to me wanting a Raptors Dreadnought to join his all-Dread army. I rarely take commissions but this sounded like a cool project so this Brother will be honoured to join the ranks and represent the Raptors in his force!

Pretty much blown away by everything in this blog! The primaris apothecary is definitely up there as my favourite here, great job.

First squad of Reivers done. As these are the special ops of the force, I gave them a slightly darker, more muted colour to their armour.

Now... This is a Space Wolf test model I've been working on for a long time. It has been stripped and re-painted several times, but I finally achieved a tone of blue-grey for the armour that I'm happy with. It was surprisingly difficult.

Please let me know what you think. If folks like it and want to know how it was done, I will produce a guide and do the same for the other loyalist legions.

Wonderful models, throughout the whole thread! Your Raptors are brilliant, really capturing that realistic and sensible look of the chapter. The latest Space Wolf is also among the best I've seen! Wouldn't object to a tutorial at all

It looks amazing!

The Space Wolf looks great, but strange in a way. I have become so used to Space Wolves being layered with stuff, the scheme seems out of place on a model with lines as clean as the Primaris.

I base coat them dark blue (Vallejo Model Air Blue), then airbrush a circle in the centre with Vallejo Model Air Light Sea Blue, and then White.

Yes, I know what you mean! That's partly why I chose Raptors for my own army – the more realistic military scheme seems to suit Primaris more. There is the upgrade sprue though, which might improve things!

Happy Yule everyone! I managed to get some time between stuffing my face to get some painting done. Here is my 2nd Company Ancient.

Another addition to my Raptors that I finished over the Xmas break – the first of two Contemptor Dreadnoughts with magnetised arms so I can swap out the weapons.

Aaaand here's the second Contemptor. Believe it or not this is a different model to the other one

Yes it is - I wanted these to have a darker, more muted colour, as they’re elites / special ops of the army.

Back to the beloved boys in red (or in this case gold) for a Dante commission.
