I imagine they'll get rules and that'll be it, I'm not expecting forge world to put out shoulderpads and Land Raider doors or anything. I don't expect to see them apper in a viglius style campaign or somrthing, GW generally avoids doing anything like that so Relic ahs a clear plate, although it'd be fun to see GW work with a few differant media wings to make a multi media event

I don't get how BR getting doors or pads would complicate Relic plans in any way. If anything, GW did complete opposite, not supported them but published old Index Astartes article that had literally nothing in common with their in-game lore, which is about the only thing they could do to complicate the job at Relic.

Anyway, White Dwarf is out there since before yesterday, but dumb leaker only made a photo of a bit of kill team rules, and not even the important ones

Maybe Forgeworld could revive their Blood Ravens transfer sheet from a few years back.
I still have mine.

sorry you misunderstood me, what I meant is GW isn't going to have the blood ravens show up in a canon event, as that specificly could tie relic's hands.

as for the blood raven lore, I didn't see anything in the old index astartes that contridicted the video games, except that Gabreil Angerlos was listed as chapter master. but that's an easy opps to understand

the old index Astartes article we're talking about was written back when the dawn of war games where only DoW1 and it's expansions. Gabriel Angelos only became Chapter Master following the events od DOW2 retribution

In IA, they have their base on battle barge that never was even once mentioned in games (and no planets, purely fleet based), in games, they have chapter world and apparently understrength fleet, complete opposite. Especially in DoW2 there were like a dozen good moments for Omnis Arcanum to arrive, it never did. In IA, they have tons of librarians, in games, one librarian shows up per battle company and the Force Commander has access to none despite using all resources of chapter garrison until battle company sends him one. Etc, etc...

New rules seem interesting at least. I don't know how often natural 1's and 2's to wound auto fail will come up though. And 185 pts for a super smash captain..... hes at least better than Logan grimnar.

Never. Only S8+ weapons and 2+ Poisoned work since +1 to wound Stratagem/Psychic Powers are considered MODIFIERS and since it only autofails on UNMODIFIED 1s and 2s...they still get rekt

What stupid rule is this ?? An unmodified wound roll of 1 always fails.

Correct, but if they didn't put that there, some WAAC jerk would claim that only 2s fail, not 1s.

Anyway, Gabe is faster than a regular Terminator and does the Terminator Leap from the DoW III trailer. I like this. Not a bad Terminator Chapter Master.

That was one of the dumbest things about DoWIII (y'know, aside from everything else in that trainwreck of a game).

Oh my god I am so glad that Gabriel Angelos has a rule representing his ability to pull a front flip in terminator armor.

I'm only mad the rule isn't called "$weet Ups"

and BOY OH BOY if it isn't everyone's favorite kind of relic an AWESOME RELIC BOLT PISTOL! Surely this will shatter the meta of taking that relic knight chaincannon.

No need to put it there. Its already covered by the core rules.

CS Goto would be very pleased with those rules, just needs a multilaser and we're all set.

Cool that they've themed him, but they've used one of the worst games to theme him from.

It’s not stupid, it’s an expansion of a core rule. Makes total sense, unless you’re tilting at GW’s windmill.

I think people really underestimate just how powerful the trait is.
Forget the wound failing on 2s, that's mild. the psyker reroll of 1s is insane.

My TS are very, very jealous. this is much better that +6" range. heck, even if you count the immunity to smite price increases as part of the TS traits, they are STILL jelly-as this is MUCH better.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

It's a good trait. Not mind-blowing. It makes the Blood Ravens a bit tankier to high strength weapons. And that Librarian reroll is pretty good too.

I don't really know about the Chief Librarian Stratagem. It seems decent on paper. I suppose taking that on a Phobos Librarian using the Tome of Malcador exploit for maximum psychic shenanigans could be quite useful.

The relic is a bolt pistol. But notice how it affects heavy bolt pistols? There are no characters that carry that weapon. Yet. I bet that becomes an option for the Phobos Lieutenant. In which case, he might be a bit more of a balanced CC character if he can actually take a decent melee weapon.

How do you know if their psychic powers are any good ? The BA ones are all crap, except two.

Its not a good trait. How many times is your BR infantry going to be attacked with S8+ weapons ?? Or your BR dreads by S14+ weapons ? That rarely going to happen. Any plus wound will not work, because it requires unmodified 2s.

Blood Ravens don't use the Blood Angels psychic powers. They use the regular Space Marines ones. And like I said in my other post there are exploits that can be used that get even better with this trait.

The chief librarian stratagem says "...from their chosen discipline." That means they have a choice, to choose from at least two disciplines. Unless their discipline is named "their chosen". What i very much doubt

did you guys notice the wording of his Chapter Master ability? It's another Cawl-like "re-roll hit rolls". Notice the lack of the word "failed". That's HUGE for negative to-hit modifiers.

I don't play the current (or frankly last two editions) of 40k; is that chapter tactic relatively balanced compared with others assuming every marine gets it?
