I think we'll get whatever Eldar haven't been shown yet, plus Chaos Knights and maybe a teaser for Guard or something like that (like one of those animated ones that show nothing off). If we see a Chaos Codex/Chaos line, I'll be amazed.

After all, some rumours state that the Chosen in the upcoming box are still W1, meaning our 'Dex is a long way off.

Nothing, I just think it's more of a problem when they not only act, but look like Fascists also...

Yeah, well it's a good thing this is a piece of fiction and not reality, right? If people cannot discern real problems from a work of fiction that's on them.

I'm building a DKOK force so I'm not against them at all. I do want them to be partially under the radar though. Whilst I appreciate that people get the wrong end of the stick, if enough people get the wrong end of the stick it can be quite damaging, for the faction and for those who have the forces.

It would probably blow over quite quick so it's a moot point really, but yeah. I think it would be wise to protect DKOK in some respect by not making them the poster child of the guard.

I don't think they should be the poster child either. I think Cadians fit the bill well enough. I don't actually mind the current cadian minis that much, they are old but the actual art design of them is great, gives off vibes from starship troopeers, aliens and so on. I also wouldn't mind seeing plastic vostroyans, and other guard regiments as well.

I’m pretty sure Warhammer Quest had its own banner in the past when it was being previewed, so I don’t think we’ll see anything.

Cadians are an excellent poster child for the Guard from a design perspective...in the art they look great. Heck even the Plastic Command Squad minis are nice. I just don't see GW keeping them as such with how old the plastic infantry box is, and considering we got an upgrade sprue, the chances of the Infantry box getting a resculpt any time soon seem about nil. I just suspect we are going to get DKoK as the poster child because they have a (rather excellent) new plastic kit, and I just can't see GW showing off those (rather bad) Cadian sculpts compared to a new well-proportioned Guard kit. If GW decided to support more Guard regiments in plastic I could easily see the other new regiment being front and center, but I think Cadians are at the bottom of the list because they are the regiment least likely to get a new core infantry kit.

How do!

So GW have confirmed we’re in for a LVO preview show this Thursday/Friday, depending where you are in this big wide world.

Fairly low-key announcement so far, being tucked away at the bottom of this week’s Sunday pre-order preview article.

Wonder if we might see an attempt at a hype train in the coming days, with silhouettes and that.

Considering the last couple of 'reveals' were pretty light, maybe this is them trying to tone down the hype before things get out of hand.

I wonder if the Path of the Preview will actually prevent a major Eldar reveal. Just a token big one like the Avatar so Eldar players don't feel left out, but overall a focus on the other known faction that doesn't get its weekly previews and therefore uses the event avenue instead. So I think there may actually be a greater likelihood of a more substantial Chaos than Eldar preview. If, of course, GW is inclined to do "substantial". Can't be sure of that these days.

There's only one more Monday this month, so maybe they'll show the Codex/Ra/Shining Spears at the preview, leaving the Avatar for the final Monday reveal.

There wasn't any definite end date on it, WarCom described them as a "weekly series of articles".

I assume at least the Avatar & Corsair Kill Team will be shown off at LVO, which leaves us with Maugan Ra & Shining Spears for Jan 31st / Feb 7th. That would neatly take us through to the supposed codex release date in mid-late Feb.

After claiming that there are no other new models to show, the Discord leaker also specifically stated "I'm not giving too much informations to avoid troubles. Might also be giving some false informations ", so it's possible there are more new models we haven't yet seen. Interestingly he refused to show the Warp Spiders datasheet and said he could only post a partial image of the Wave Serpent one, in the same way as for Corsairs. Read into that what you will...

Krieg's look isn't based off any 1 particular thing, they're an amalgamation of various WW1 elements.

Is there an Acheron Hive on Necromunda?
I know there's one on Armageddon, but I don't remember one for Necromunda.

I'd think that "Escher" would be a better fit for the top word.

"Underhive" is down at the bottom.

"che"
"es" is on the top, in a neon green.

Then there's, in black, a Helmawr icon I guess?

Hoping they give out some info on Renegade Knights, in when the codex will drop, but also any new models to go with it!

My top three hopes:
1. Specific Renegade War Dogs Box with options for both weapon sets in it

2. Stand alone weapon sprue for current Renegade Knights to model all weapon options on the new chassis

3. A proper renegade Knight Castellan, with reverse knees to match the aesthetic of the smaller knights

Thats being generous (or something), from the neck down they are almost entirely (and I only say almost because I'm sure someone will find *something* that isn't quite right) french in design, just with an aquila thrown on there and a laser gun instead of the trusty Lebel 1886.

I've thought about it a little and I think it's 100% to do with the fact that an actual Nazi played them one time, and that story got picked up, and some people chose to hyperfocus on that singular event, and now that's the paradigm (for a small element in the wider community at least). It's a narrative that some people want to maintain, and that's all.

It's not the masks, there's loads of gasmask troops, there's even masked troops with a Germanic name (the Dream Forge ones, I forget what they're called), but nobody ever proxied Dream Forge as Nazis, so there's no narrative to push. It's not the trench coats, again, there's loads of great coat troops around, and since there's never been a trench coat nazi proxy 'event' to gain traction here there is no narrative to push. It's entirely down to the fact that it happened once with Krieg, and so now that is what some people want Krieg to be.

I remember the same thing in Old Dakka when a guy did it with Jin Roh brigade models, and people got real upset with Jin Roh because of that one event, and for a while anyone with Jin Roh elements in their models were then somehow suspect. I reckon the only reason that's been forgotten is because Jin Roh isn't a thing anymore, but Krieg is, so Krieg gets the label now.
