Regulation file update 1.03.3 for #ELDENRING is available now: it fixes a bug in the balance adjustment of the boss "Starscourge Radahn" in update 1.03, in which the power of some attacks was unintentionally reduced.
Details:
https://en.bandainamcoent.eu/elden-ring/news/elden-ring-update-notes-103?utm_source=SM_Official&utm_medium=official_post&utm_campaign=ELDEN_RING_update103

So that explains why Radahn wasn't so bad when I fought him post 1.03.

He's now tougher.

Really? I just fought him and found him ridiculously easy. I kind of regret summoning for him because it’d be a way more fun fight 1v1 I think. Maybe I’m over leveled though. Got level 78 when I fought him. Took two tries but only because I didn’t see his big fire thing comming the first time.

Nah, half the fun of that fight is that it's a big anime battle with a bunch of warriors from across the world joining together to give someone they respect an honourable warriors death. Can't imagine doing it without the NPC summons.

Is New Game+ worth playing? Just defeated the game.

Thinking of starting a brand new game to go a caster route (instead of just respec'ing).

You keep all your items and level. The rune drops are better, the monsters are tougher though not generally as tough as the first time around (your level/spec depending. Around New Game +5 things start getting really rough again.

I enjoy it. I have seen some stuff of people on NG+13 or some gak at this point.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

NG+13 !!!

O.o

Anyhoo, I'm currently leveling a 2nd character at the moment trying different things. I might just level up to 50 or 90 for those niched PvP levels.

How long did the first play through take for you guys? I’ve yet to finish the game but even so I’m 120h in. Havn’t even set foot in the capital haha. Currently exploring the Altus plateau. The capital will be a future prospect after those terrifying heroes graves.

His pattern of returning alive after being declared dead occurred often enough during Cain's career that the Munitorum made a special ruling that Ciaphas Cain is to never be considered dead, despite evidence to the contrary.

60-70h for first playthrough.
I think I cleared to Mountaintops and Haligtree by 30-40h in second playthrough (not NG+).

I had a lot of work on when the game came out, and then the graphics were buggy for a while on my machine. But it seems to have cleared up (patched maybe?) so I've been playing a lot of Elden Ring over the last while.

Really enjoying it. It's got an "old school D&D" feel to it, moreso than most games, but with awesome action gameplay. I've adapted to having the spirit horse, and I quite enjoy cruising around the landscape and double jumping over ravines and stuff.

I'm 30 hours in, and so far the most challenging thing has been fighting the two demi-human chieftains in the cave before I even knew how to level up (I didn't rest at the site of grace that triggers that event, I kinda feel that's an oversight on From's part, eventually I had to look up how to trigger levelling up which is a bit much!). Then Stormveil Castle and the two bosses there were pretty challenging. Nothing else has taken more than 2 tries except the big boss in the water in Siofra River.

But that's alright. The game has given me some really awesome moments, some of the traps in particular are mindblowing the first time they happen to you and resulted in some of my favourite play (especially since I try to avoid fast travel where possible).

I don't mind that the side dungeons are a little similar. It's fine, they're just little exploration puzzles to keep you occupied. The enemy variety is a lot better than I thought too - you've got loads of different types of undead humans, demi-humans, mud men, fungus men, frog men, four armed men, wizards, mounted enemies, and that's before you start going into all the weird beasts and giant insects and crap.

I still think DS1 is my favourite Fromsoft Game, but this is just as good as DS2/DS3 which I also really enjoyed in different ways. I'd say it's most similar to DS2 in a lot of ways.

It feels like performance has dropped with the last patch. Also, any DLC news yet?

Late to the party on this one, but its quickly become one of my favorite games I've played in a long long long time. Just reached the Giant's Mountain and almost sad knowing I'm reaching the limits of what the game has to show me. Definitely a lot I've missed, but a lot of highlights and I've got a build I'm really happy with using Night and Fire. Mimic Tear is pretty busted though. I feel like the nerf to use HP instead of FP made it a lot stronger than other spirits for my build. I feel like I can lean on it way too much for boss fights, though its ability to hold aggro is the only reason I can use the Comet blast now that its range is so silly short.

At the very least the Giant's Mountain has a lot of exploring to do, plus there's the secret Consecrated snow field and the secret Halig Tree areas. I'd recommend checking those as soon as you can.

Yup, plan to. Got through Castle Sol last night and the Commander was definitely more of a challenge than anything I'd seen in a while. Plenty to explore still in this area.

Nice work! Don't forget to check out his armor set that's now available in the finger reader shop.

Fire Giant has fallen. Probably should have explored a bit more before lighting the Forge but looks like I'm in okay shape to tackle this next bit.

I did try switching to the Darkmoon Greatsword, but I'm not having much luck with it. The attack string is just a little slow for my liking over the straight swords.

Thanks for the advice! The Veteran set carried me through the rest of the game. Took a break to paint up my Khador but over the weekend powered through the end. Managed to take down Malenia and the Dragon Lord. Got Mohg but I forgot the Lich dragon. Anyway, after those, the actual final encounters weren't bad at all. Now I've got to figure out what to do with no more Elden Ring to play. :(

Just finished run 12 all bosses deathless. That was a fun run. Will take a small break and then try a randomizer I think.

Congrats! I'll probably never get quite that into it, but I am feeling the call of new game+ to play around with some of the other weapons I'm well specced for.
