Not much to update, I messed up the mold for the bottle, I wanted to make the pour tube bigger, but I cut into the bottle part of the mold. But at least I got one good cast of it. So I will use the cast to make the next mold, and the original has been filed down to give the "hips" some curve. Here is what it looked like before I put it on a sprue in preparation for the next mold.

You might be able to see it, but I have a bottle cap tacked to the top.

Haven't had much free time the last couple of days. Hopefully we'll see some progress before too long.

Thanks for looking!

Well, the casting of the bottles is going slow, but I did get some work on the Female Military Leader #2!

Here she is tacked together, I have to make her with fewer posablility options. The way it was, I couldn't even get her arms, upper torso, head and weapon to stay tacked together for a photo! And if I can't get her put together, how can I expect anyone else to?

Anyway, here she is from all sides, I am getting detail added here and there, and she's just about done. Just need to add the collar, and shape up where her gloves meet the arms, and add a holster, and misc. details.

I think I am going to leave the hat plain, and just add whatever crest the client wants before I ship it out. That way, at least there are some options there.

Well, how does she look so far?

Thanks for looking,

RSJake

She's great, pal! The chain on the hip is a masterpiece!
But her hands look too big in my opinion, even though this are gloves... I suggest to add some tech details to get an augmented/power-fist vibe, which seems logical with a weapon of such size, and will balance the hands-body proportions.

I was actually just thinking the same thing (about the agmenting of the hands) this morning! I could just add a small cable running under the gloves into the sleeves of the coat! It would be subtle, and would explain the large hands.

Of course I could re-do the hands, but I am really happy with how they came out, and I like the look. So, I might try the cables, and see how they look.

I really just added the cahin because I had some extra GS, and that spot was looking bare. It was my first chain, and I think it came out pretty good.

Anyway, Thanks guys! I appreciate the feedback!

maybe sculpt a little bit of armor on the gloves along with the cables? Not meaning full on power-gauntlets, but a little but of plating on the back of the hands, and something along the edges of the sleeve/wrist area... I have no idea what that's called on a glove.

It might helpt translate the bulk a little better. I for one, think they look good.

Aye, a hint of subtle armor shaped plates on the hands and fingers will make even better tech appearance along with few cables.
Something simila to this:

I really like how she is working out! Part of me though wishes she had a butter churn weapon option. So I could sing Amish Paradise while moving her on the board.

i second the suggestion for the added something on the gloves... some bitz or gubbins for making it look more techy... cables too...

the chain is truly a very cool work of yours...same goes for the powermace! with some added substance to the arms and shoulders you are truly set! the head/cap section looks very good...the tight bun emits a very libirian vibe too! the model is fully win!

By the way... I think some sort of pendant or a book attached to this chain will be very appropriate.

Thanks for the feedback guys! Yes, something needs to be hanging from the chain. The client suggested a Crux of some kind, and I just asked him if a Crux on a book would work. I think that would look pretty cool. Just wainting to hear back.

I have been looking at images of cruxes, basically, different forms of crosses, for those who didn't know. (I didn't before I started looking them up.) Apparently, the swastica is a crux, and is also called the Fylfot Cross, which means "Many-footed" cross, and was in use LONG before it's more recent and disturbing use. (That last part I did know already. ) I'm not thinking using a swastica, I don't care what the origins of it are, I don't think you could explain it sufficeintly enough to not offend someone these days. I just thought it was interesting.

Anyway, after the short lesson in crux history, I think I found one I like, that will look good on a book if that is what the client wants.
Something like this:

As for the gloves, I have also asked the client his views on the "cyber" bits. So I'll leave it in his hands for now, but if he likes the idea, I have some good ideas from your suggestions!

dsteingass wrote:Her lho-stick case!! lol

And butterchurn? LOL

The way I have her posed, I am hoping the mace will be able to be reversed if desired, for a more menacing pose. Something like this:

You Crux comments just remind me of a friend of mine's traumatic incident when he was younger in Elementary School. Hilarious story.

I think with the mace reversed it looks too 'at-attention'. Significantly less 'clobberin' time'. I dig it at ease the best. That's what it was modeled for after all.

the upward pose looks to me like a marine holding up the banner marching ... not really what you were up to...

the crux...yes...on a book even ...double yes! and the one you showed looks good... a bit french and a bit templar mixed in so i think that is a good decision!

It might be cool if it could be swapped with a banner though.

As to a hanging gubbin, you could do 2-3 different options separate, so one could leave it plain or add a few different ones depending on the theme.

I had actually given this some thought last night, and I could do a head swap with a non-officer head!
