Seince I like having multiple projects at once so if I get bored with one I can hop to another, I've decided that while working on my Empire and Bretonnians, and my Night Goblin army (which might change to just orcs and goblins, I don't like the robes the NGs have cus they're a pain in the ass to keep looking black and highlight correctly so they're not flat) I've decided to add Lizardmen to the mix.

What can you tell me about them?  Strengths?  Weaknesses?  Best model set to bulk out on?  I like their skinks, skirmishers with blowpipes are a nice idea, and their stegladon mounted knight-esque units seem cool too.

Lizardmen are Badass. Just about everything in the army is good. Skinks with blowpipes are one of the best units in the game. Saurus cav hit incredibly hard, but are lightly-armored for heavy cav. When you take the Huanchi standard they can do sick things. Kroxies are awesome. Salamanders are another of the best units in the game. Terradons are great. The Slann can be absolutely gross, magically, and the combat heroes are great too.

Just about the only unit that's not "always great bordering on OTT" is Saurus infantry. But they're pretty solid if you use them right. A couple of guys just posting battle reports on TWF doing well with them in big tournaments in the UK.

Well off ebay I got a thing of Saurus, the Lizardman book, and a think of Skinks (like 20?) and will expand from there. I've decided no Night Globlins as I don't like painting their robes (turns out dull and crap) so I think Lizardmen, Orc/Gobo army (thinking of an all mounted force but need the new rulebook first), Empire, and Bretonnia will keep me sated for a while!
