disclaimer: quite possibly in the wrong forum channel, but im not sure where else it would go

now, im not a n00b (or any other form of the word) to the game, having played eldar since the fun days of virus outbreak, overwatch, and terminators needing a 3+ to save (on two dice!), so bear with me. im just new to some of the online terminology (or tourny terminology...i dont really play competitively)

could some one please explain to me what the following are? and why they are broken (as many claim them to be)

choir zilla

lysander wing

siren bombs

A Tyranid Godzilla (AKA Gojira AKA 'Zillla) list is one with about as many Monstrous Creatures as you can fit into it. Choir refers to multiple models with Psychic Scream to reduce enemy leadership- generally a group of Zoanthropes and possibly a Tyrant or two.

Deathwing is the name for the all-Terminator branch of the Dark Angels. Other armies which attempt to emulate this design as closely as their codex allows are often referred to as ____-Wing, with the first word filled in depending on the army. Lustwing is the nickname for Slaaneshi termies and Daemonettes. Dustwing is Tzeentch. Lysanderwing is an Imperial Fists SM army full of Terminators and led by the special character Lysander, who gives some wonderful bennies to deep striking Terminators in his army.

Daemon Bomb armies are Chaos armies which rely on one or more fast units to move towards the enemy at high speed before summoning a veritable horde of Daemons. Variants include the Bikerbomb (Chaos Bikes turbo-boost 24", gaining a 3+ invulnerable vs shooting so as to survive until they daemons pop out) and the Siren Bomb, in which you use a single Chaos HQ character with a personal icon (for summoning) and buy several rolls on the Slaanesh Minor Psychic Powers chart, hoping to get Siren. Siren (if it works, and only a few things in the game defend against it) prevents ANY enemy unit from shooting at or assaulting the character. It is widely regarded as the most broken unit/upgrade in the game.

Though not quite as detailed as what The Mannahnin posted above, Centurion99's excellent Dakka Jargon Glossary includes those terms as well as a whole slew of other Dakka/forum related slang.

I am "The" Mannahnin now? Thanks. I thought I was a cheap, phonetic knockoff of the god of the sea. (Also the Farseer who's been leading my Eldar army for about seven years now).

You're welcome. Accept no substitute, there is only one: THE Mannahnin, Bloody Handed Mod of the Dakkite Craftworld, Grizzled Veteran and once fearless overseer of the Dakka Grots, whom have long since been unchained from their basement keep.

Bloody Handed Mod.  Heh.  I don't think that will ever stop being funny.

"The last known instance of common sense happened at a GT. A player tried to use the 'common sense' argument vs. Mauleed to justify his turbo-boosted bikes getting a saving throw vs. Psycannons. The player's resulting psychic death scream erased common sense from the minds of 40k players everywhere. " - Ozymandias
