Hi all,

I'm PCSing from Germany to apparently Ft. Drum NY. I'm happy to be able to be able to to go NY city, most of all though I would like to know of any shops near Ft. Drum so I might get a couple of 40k and WHFB games in. I can't currently look at the GW web site with the connection I have, would you please leme know.

Thanks for any reply's I really appreciate it.

Hi there vito. I went to school up in potsdam, and unfortunately there was little to be found. However, if my memory serves me right, there is a GW store in the carousel mall in syracuse.

Hey, bad news GW has closed that store but there are still two other shops in the Syracuse area How you Play the Game, and Comix Zone to play at. Plus as the other thread I started today says we are holding Assault Phase '07 here in Syracuse, which is bring players from all over the North East and Canada.

You've got a few options.

1) Long haul (72 miles 1 way) to Syracuse

2) Short haul (6 miles) to Watertown's 2 shops. Both are just as good as anything I found in Syracuse.

I can't remember their names ATM, but I'll shoot ya a PM when I do. 1 is located next door to a bar you'll spend quite a few evenings at as it was one of the only decent ones there...The other store is on the other side of town. Both are relatively easy to find and the owners can't stand each other.

If you're looking for a good place to game, Altered States(?) in Syracuse had a pretty large area and plenty of tables.

Ontario had a pretty bad ass store as well. I forget the name, but it was up the road, and it was a short drive. Pegisus was downtown in Watertown, John was cool to get stuff from, but its mainly comics, and theres no where to play in his shop, ( if its even still open.) There was another comic shop in the old walgreens store, but I couldn't tell you if it is as well, still open. Altered states was solid as it goes for tournaments, gaming, and a great spegetti joint, right next store. there was another one, but i think it went out of buisness.good times, man, good times...

Theres alot of gamers up that way, and Buffallo NY had a GW store down the road. You have a few gamers up that way if you look on the AKO for, theres a place in the forums for Military Gamers.GL
