Would it be totally out of fluff to use Wraithlords as heavy slots in a Siam Hann army 5 wraithguard + warlock in a wave serpent in a Siam Hann army?
I was thinking that 2-3 fire prisms was really the fluffiest way to go but it seems a bit cheesy.

Drano doesn't exactly scream "toy" to me.

Wraithlords are definitely contrary to theme. Skimmers would be the logical heavy choices. You can really do whatever you want, though. Especially if it looks nice. A well-executed Saim-Hann paintjob is sharp!

The theme is fast. fast fast fast.

I myself am doing a saim hann army. I dont worry too much about the fluff though, as there are many ways to justify them (some easier than others).

Take the wraithgaurd for instance. Putting them in a super zoomy transport suddenly makes the fluff nazis cream in their pants.

The wraithlord, not so much.

But what super zoomy army doesnt have a key element of an avil to strike? Wraithlords are that anvil. With all the webway portals and such, you would think a group of warlocks could open one long enough to deploy some warwalkers or a wraithlord distracting the opponent while deploying hypersonic death from the skys on their heads.

You will find that as time passes, people will forget about the exact details of craftworld entries and just make an eldar list with the colors they like.

In many ways, I applaud GW for such an action, but in some ways I cry for the days gone by as well.

Saim-Hann has close ties to Exodites, right? Since they skeddadled so much earlier than other craftworlds and are a wee bit savage themselves?

And the Kroot mercenary list is legal, right?

Take some Krooxoxen Riders as Heavy Support and model them with Wood Elves / Eldar and dinosaurs for an unudual and interesting choice!

Otherwise, take Dragons in a Falcon. S-H is not totally without Aspect Shrines, and lotsa skimmers is sort of their theme. Plus, Dragons are red, too. They'll blend right in.

Wraithlord is hard to justify, Wraightguard not as hard, but they're rather a blah unit. If you need things that can take fire, look at Scorpions and Falcons. Or Krootoxen <cackle>.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Saim Hann are morally savage with their honour code and prediliction for duels, culturally they are refined like the other craftworld eldar. They are not space barbarian elves. In fact they have a French officer class air to them, highly sophisticated but liable to call you out for 9 am swords or pistols etc at the slightest inconvenience.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

Happy...if you play Saim Hann everything in a transport becomes fluffy. I find that the Eldar don't need an anvil. Anvils are targets, the Eldar don't allow themselves to become targets. Autarch or Seers on bikes, bike squads, shining spears, vypers, a squad of hawks, falcons and prisms, some foot soldiers in wave serpents. I'd have everything mechanised.

A converted Wraithlord that has the body of a skimmer instead of a walker can fit in the Saim-Hann theme instantly. Tough it won't count as a skimmer, but still the model can stop the fluff nazi's. What better way to store a great warrior of Saim-Hann than a skimmer Wraithlord shell?

Just put arms on a vyper and give it two heavy weapons. Sure it'll look weird but that's how the defiler probably came about model/ idea wise.

"Suffering is Faith, Faith is Strength.

Generations have suffered with the same devotion that we can offer but once. Still, our Faith leads us through these dark times like a beacon. It will guide us to triumph over these abominations. Either by breaking them upon us like waves against a limitless, golden peak or by thrusting through them like the spear of the Immortal Emperor Himself." - Cannoness Aoife, Order of the desert rose #Yesallwomen

Saim Hann has two types of army really. Yes they have the skimmer armies and ideally they would contain nothing that isnt a skimmer or transported by a skimmer. However Saim Hann also have a normal 'footslogger' army complete with wraithtroops, support platforms, guardian infantry et al.

Just looking at the latest Codex shows you that models not practical for airmobile operations contribute to the Saim Hann war effort, more telling are short stories in the old Epic rulebooks whereupon a Saim Hann infantry army defended a human settlement because the Farseer in charge predicted that the Imperium would help support other Eldar on the planet in gratitude for the defence of the human civilians and their town. The army was described, yes it did have some bikes but was mostly infantry and notably did not have sufficient transports for the entire force.

Feel free to have Saim Hann infantry lists if that suits your fancy.
