Figured I'd drop in and let you guys know about TempleCon 2007.   TempleCon is a gaming convention in Providence, Rhode Island founded by New England gamers who were looking for something different than a lot of other options in the area, and after an amazingly successful year in 2006, we're doing it again. This time we're going to be holding it at The Westin in Downtown Providence, RI on February 16th, 17th, and 18th, 2007. The Westin in Providence is pretty upscale in comparison to your usual gaming convention fare, but we really wanted to go for something comfortable.   The lounge and bar in this place pretty much sealed the deal for us. =)

Anyway, we have a bunch of 40k events together this year, and we're also rolling out a ton of new incredible terrain for the minis area. I'll try to get some in-progress pictures up of it soon. If you want to check out the current events listing for the con, including all the 40k stuff, head on over to the official website at http://www.templecon.org/ Right now we have seven 40k tournaments running over the course of the weekend, in addition to more events coming in that we working to organize.   Trophies, amongst other stuff, are being awarded for every event, so a bunch of people will walk home with something cool to stick on a shelf.

On top of that we have a ton of WARMACHINE and HORDES events being coordinated by the NE Privateers, and some Flames of War going on as well.   Add to this a mini's painting contest, and it should be a solid weekend (and a busy one for me!).

Anyway, I hope to see some of you there. Pre-registration is now open, as is additional gamemaster submissions in case anybody wants to run events for the convention. Check out the links below to head for more on that.   I'd love to see a good minis turnout this year, as it's been a priority of mine to get as many events running as possible.
