Just getting started on my Operation Icestorm started pack. I thought I'd give my Nomads a green based color scheme.

Nice greens there Jayden, and I usually don't like base markings but I like the subtle base markings you have on yours.

It's nice to see someone else doing green Nomads. Good job on them.

Cross-Posted from my Tutorial on the Infinity official forums on how to rapidly wash-paint up Ariadna...

http://infinitytheforums.com/forum/topic/43879-killionaires-tutorial-alt-pose-isobel-mcgregor-in-90-minutes/

Had a lot of fun trying to use the fastest techniques and keep myself under time.
Went for the 'Tiger Stripe' pattern:

Not sure what your timer was limited to, but that mini has come out stunning.

She looks great and I have to say, I much prefer the modified pose over the stock one. So, what you did was basically thin down all of your paints to a wash-like consistency and the only actual wash used was Agrax Earthshade? And, just to clarify, you used bone as the base color for the uniform? I'm going to have to try this.

Green Alguaciles and Mobile Brigada work well, since they can be a part of a Haqq sectorial too. Nice work.

That Isobel reminds me of how some porcelain minis are painted, with the very de-saturated look. An effective technique.

Ah, a nasmat

More in my P&M blog, if you're interested.

Thanks! Pretty much that's what the whole technique is. Works with a lot of ranges of colors.
Basic core principle is: basecoat everything the light shade. Then just wash dark and let drying properties of thinned, washy paint do the rest. Shade down, and highlight edges as need be.

Really does look amazingly effective. Planning to try this technique for my Onyx Force whenever it arrives.

Very nice.

Although I'd love to see some white markings or stripes to really make it pop.

Good, clean job though!

Nice pink on that pig

Dat ass, on the Mobile Brigada. (well, you did put it in the center of the montage Bebops.)

Azra'il looks good. And nice to see that you did not include a skull on the base, like in the studio photo.

Ah, the medical nasmat finally done. I do like the nasmats. Very cool minis, and fun to paint.

Work in progress, but the old girl is finally back together at least. I've spent the day getting the underbelly done (the legs have been done a while). Still got a lot of work on the body. Lots of green and tan highlighting, and the yellow. Guns will go on when they're done as well.

That Van Zant looks fantastic wonderful skin colours.

I have found a use for the HSN3 Druze hacker as a stand in for a Locust seems to fit in when painted in PanO colours also started working on an Aquila guard.

Excellent work. Your camouflage is subdued, but adds a lot of depth to the models. Man, I need to start painting that Druze sooner or later. . .
