Happy New Year Guys n Gals, sorry for the delay. I was sleeping yesterday and then cooking another turkey roast. Best thing is though, loads of left overs for "Turkey, stuffing, cranbery(or in this case lingenbury jelly, from ikea. As we forgot to buy cranbery jelly lol), stilton, mayo sandwhiches" the best sarnies of the year.

Wow, it's refreshing to only have to go through 2 pages since I last logged on! And that was before X-Mas!

I was actually sad to see that there were not Zombies roaming the streets on the 22nd. :(

But on the bright side, I now have more ammo and more guns!

And Harbor frieght has sturdy Machetes that only need minimal sharpening for less than $4! A must-have for the Zombie Apocalypse!

When I saw that the Aussie's were still here I was a bit sad too.... Not crackin on anyone from Aus just saying they were supposed to be our Apoc litmus test and they failed us... what a shame!

That just shows they haven't tested out the right apocalypse on us yet, not that we don't test them daily.

I haven't tried yet, but soon. TBH, I just saw the GW email announcing two MORE new fething Space Marine fliers. I'm seriously contemplating flushing 40k down the toilet. Not that I play much anyways, but I'm just fething sick of OP Space Marine gak.

seriously, do they NEED two more fliers? Another speeder that looks like an Ork Mek defense contractor nailing stuff together?

Oh.... the Ibiza speeder...... it's terrible...... terrible!

Mightn't be as bad with a normal speeder front. Talon is the only half decent thing.

They are on the path to further unbalancing the game IMHO. Guard will probably only get plastic AA guns and stormtroopers, which are fine for defense, but I want my guard to do more than defend.

It is a bit silly, I will agree, especially when say Tyranids have no real Aircraft, especially no miniatures for it. Flyrants and gargoyles get shot out the sky in the face of vultures, or Chibihawks. 'tis a sad day. Oh, and hoping for plastic storm troopers is a foolish endeavor. GW hates storm troopers

They only just incorporated them with the 6th ed rules so most need to sit around twiddling their thumbs waiting to see if something gets done about it.

For Daemons my choices at the moment are put wings on a prince and have it breathe on them until the fliers are gone (once per turn, 4+ chance to do damage at all), or have pink horrors throw pebbles at it and hope for the best.

Ive become less happy with the game lately, though tbf i hardly play it any more anyway Im happy with playing 'munda and the odd huuuuggggee Apoc game. Always been more of a modeller/collecter.

It does indeed add a challenge to keep wanting to play... But many opportunities to make your own versions of things as opposed to forking dough to GW.

Don't get me wrong Damo, You do fine work with them, I just have no interest personally

mind you... i can´t count how often i used old second edition SM arms on guardsmen... they do have their uses

The old power fists work on catachans..a bit big, but that's how we like them

Like most things in this world, 40K is what *YOU* make of it. The campaign I just started doesn't allow flyers. We play 500 point games. We have a good time.

Apoc, Killzone, In the Emperor's Name, Combat Patrol, Cityfight, Spearhead. so many options.

Make fun happen.
