So, when I went to rub the salt off of the barrels, it took the primer off too! I think I have a bad bunch of white air primer! That must be it. Anyways, I made it work pretty well, despite that, I'll be upping a pic this afternoon so you can see.

I've had that happen before. I went with it and painted the inside of the hole again.

Oh yeah, that's what I did. It looks really good too. I've always used Dryad Bark as my go-to dark rust color, but the new Technical paint Typhus Corrosion may dethrone it. I even have actual paint peeling, It literally took the primer coat with it when the salt was removed.

Sounds a bit like the material of the barrels is oily...I recently had quite a bit of that trouble wit ice hockey masks I painted for the kids Halloween costumes...killer hockey players...well...every thing peeled off as if it never was sprayed at all...so now I uped my game and got me an evil plastics primer...tho I still haven't tried that out yet...

How evil of a plastic primer can it be? It didn't even go to evil medical school .

Looking forward to pics Dave. I got some of the thyphon corrosion too, just haven't tried it out yet.

Those are just the stages of weathering from left to right. But yeah, they get some interesting effects, all different and random.

Thanks Vik! Like your concept of RIvet Zen, it's a satisfying little project.ormally, I'd agree with you about oil or grease, but this is both old GW barrels in Nottingham plastic, and the new GW Chinese plastic.

I thought about it, I could have reproduced the little control panel, but I could not imagine why a pallet would need a control panel, unless it hovered, but then why would it have slots for forks?

i think it is a mystery^^... maybe some coding device for a inventory control system?

Nice pallet work. Reminds me I need to make some mules.

Maybe the control thing is a weight reader so the forklift operator doesn't over do it.

Thanks Cam! It's a pretty cheap kit, yeah. I'm thinking it'll be blue with hazard stripes on the beams I added for stability. i'm Thinking that is a good place for a derelict loading crane underneath.

Walkway is really good looking, especially the handrails from plumbing pipes! What it now needs is walboards with advertisement and then ruined necromunda style/ fallout...that sells it then!!!

Thanks Vik Yeah I added some cogskull bits to the ends, but it def needs more aquillas and skulls, wires, and pipes. I was going to have pipes run up the sides and through the superstructure.

Needs some hanging gangers as hostages, or trophies from battle. It would be a nice king of the hill centerpiece. Have the objective be at the top of it and have 4-5 gangs fight it out to see who get to it and gets off the table or who is the last gang to bottle out.

Vor me it's perfect for a sniper position...I always forget that movie theater name in F4...

exactly!!! curiously i have to hunt molerats there which i have killed off earlier and can´t finish now the quest of ol´preston...i love that sniper post up there...it´s a lurker dream come true^^
