Hey Theo, next time you stop into MM, would you mind checking to see if they have any of their famous dented/damaged boxes? Amazon out, that must mean supply problems from China. Although they still sell it from their SoCo Official store. I could wait for GenCon, but let's be real, The chances of me finishing this after GenCon with shiny new toys is slim. It's me we're talking about after all.

Today, I painted Camo on eight tanks

It's bold, which is the contrast I wanted, now to highlight and knock the boldness back into the details a bit. Soften the paint and make all the details pop

I haven't seen any of the pipe plants or Pegasus stuff in the MM store in ages (probably over a year), they had a few tehnelog or however you pronounce them, but they were real inexpensive raptor vehicles. I've been real disappointed with MM stuff lately, nothing dinged or dented that made me say oh?, much less reach for my wallet.

Cool camouflage work their dave . I just redid my basement and work area yesterday and saw my compressor sitting their saying "one day you'll learn how to use me "

Oh it compels me, but the last time I tried it it almost compelled me to propel it out a window. I really need to find some place that does classes and take one.

no, you dont. You just need to spend time spraying REALLY thinned acrylic, and a LOT of time cleaning the brush. Like anything else. Practice, repeat

Glad it was useful info. I see that you are prepping early for *Tanksgiving* The camo scheme colors reminds me of something I saw on a model Char B1-Bis tank some time ago... Ah, a Google image search will reveal many such photos. I always thought that the Char B1-bis was the inspiration for the Leman Russ.

Thanks Red! I think the LR was definitely inspired by it. TBH, I stole this camo scheme from some old codex paint pages years ago.

But yeah, If this example is operating somewhere in the jungles of Southeast Asia, this camo scheme would work. I like the disruption effect it has on the tell-tale shape of the Leman Russ.

Today I highlighted 17 tanks, 2 stages. Death Guard green, and Krieg Khaki- Which may be my new best friend.

Thanks guys! It's hard having much to show very often when doing batch painting like this.

Planning for the future, I've ordered my first ever Basilisk- I dont care for the new Basilisk kit at all, so I ordered the Forrge World Steel Legion Armored Basilisk, which looks to be based on the old Chimera kit that took six sprues vs. the new 2-sprue kit. So the Catachan Artillery Detachment will begin next. I think I'll need one of the big missile launcher kits too, although if I field a Deathstrike Missile, I can be guaranteed that my opponent will relentlessly target it first in every game I play. This could be a very expensive sacrificial unit. Every Guard commander has to decide which units are sacrificial.

All meat for the grinder, just add (wanted to use the newer emoji) to taste. Did you get the one with the complete interior? I think they had one like that

Heh, I watched a VOD of WarhammerTV playing a game Guard vs. Custodes yesterday, filmed at Warhammer World. They mentioned that all other weapons can overwatch in 8th Ed. I may now be regretting my choice not to include sponsons. I just dont know.

Because it's cinematic for all the sponsons to overwatch

Well, I guess now if engaged in close combat, you can retreat, and immediately overwatch with all guns, that way when they assault you again, you get at least some shots off, Either way, the Custodes are basically demigods o nthe table. It looks like the saavy Guard Player now needs to know how to specifically tailor a list for any enemy. We have the tools to win, but it requires having all the optional models on-hand really.
