"From the high seas of the Iron Kingdoms sails a new mercenary warcaster, his blood and brine soaked battlegroup, and his cutthroat crew of privateers. Today marks the beginning of our previews for the upcoming mercenary privateers models for WARMACHINE, starting with the captain of this motley crew.

Once a respected nautical warcaster for the Mercarian League, Captain Phinneus Shae has turned to piracy aboard the Talion. Shae is wanted but refuses to allow the bounty on his head to get in the way of earning a profit as a sword for hire. His powers over wind and storm serve as well on land as at sea, and few can stand against him blade to blade.

Read the riveting story of Captain Shae and the privateers' origins in No Quarter 11 this March and get a preview of that stats of every member of the crew in issue 12 this May, when the mercenary privateers become available at your local retailer.

There's never been a better time to be a pirate, or to play WARMACHINE."

Kinda plain to me.

But he is a PIRATE! Thats cool, right?

I think I'll buy one and name him Maddox.

Dakka. You need more of it. No exceptions.

What are you talking about? They're Space Marines, which are heroic. They need to be able to do all the heroic stuff. They fight aliens and don't afraid of anything. -Orkeosarus

Well, that does it. Malfred, you god damned bastard. You finally showed me stuff that I have to buy from PP.

When my girlfriend whines about this, Ill be sure to give her your wifes number so they can start a support group or some such.

Damn, a privateer gang.

He does look kinda plain. Thats why I like him. Nothing really too overbearing. Plain in comparison to other PP models, down right painfully plain when you compare it to GW.

I hope the rest of the gang will be just as plain.

Me likey. Alot. Thankfully, the other models arent ready yet to be shown, so I have been spared a bit of time to have my buddy brush me up on the rules.

*sigh* I hate you malfred...

I too like its plainless. Looks like some money has been diverted from the gotta-have-more-confrontation fund.

I think he look's smooth. He's an Ordic pirate... can't ask for too much. Warcaster on the high seas... heavy <or even medium> wc armor would be a BAD idea. I like how it is snugly incorperated into his coat. His face looks just like the Ordic male sketch from the IKCG. Sword looks nasty too. I plan on picking up the whole crew when they are released. May cannot get here fast enough.

I dig him. He's got the '90s goatee and trenchcoat thing going for him. He's a normal pirate (instead of all those crazy undead pirates they keep churning out). I'll be curious to see what kind of 'jacks he can take (pirate jacks maybe? Hrmn....).

Meh, can't really get very excited about this piece.  I think this is one of their most boring pieces really.

One question though. What is he holding in his left hand? it looks like a rum bottle pistol....

Sometimes PP get's a little funky with their firearms. This would be in the Khador blunderbuss tube on a stick variety...

Still like him, though. He's the Warcaster from Seattle. His warjack is named 'Mudhoney'.
