GW I hate you........Thanks Dave. now I have to divorce and sell the kids to get this once it is out, so worth it.

I couldn't tell if that last one was a Goliath or just a really butch Escher, maybe a bit of green stuff to differentiate them. I guess core box will be chicks on chunks. Will be dropping my Escher into some simple green today.

Every time GW re-re-re-releases Space Marines, I want to divorce GW. THis aptly timed release is meant for me. No Space Marines are allowed in the underhive!

I think this will be it then for me...I build armies for the fun of it, and I was plotting my way into maybe jumping on the bandwagon wagon with the eighth edition...but necromunda 2.0 sounds way better as a true starting point to finally start to unravel the playing part of the hobby for me and my kids... tried to grasp the n&r threads content...and the system might be understandable even by dense ol me

Some fun what I've read says it's based on 8th edition, so it would definitely be a good starting point. The sad part I heard was no Necromunda specific terrain, but it might have more of the shadow war terrain in the box and cost under €100. I'm all sorts of Giddy .

You only need the Munda Rulebook to play Munda- Shadow War is basically the Munda rules, with regular 40k units. Al lthe rules and points are in their respective books. 40k 8th, you need the core rulebook, and the Index until your Army's codex releases for all the points values

It's just similar to the 8th edition rules which I've paid no attention to at all. Just like old Necromunda was based off of the rules for 2nd edition 40k. All rules should be in the core box along with Escher and Goliath gangs. Also cardstock terrain to get playing right away.

It had BETTER have some terrain. Munda is not playable without terrain, and not just Los blockers, it's essential to get in and move around and shoot from it.

According to multiple sources, just cardboard, no bulkheads . I'll have to stick with my 200 bulkheads and do small tables. Pic from 2013, I think I've doubled in the quantity of DUST buildings since then .



There is talk of more terrain bundles around Christmas based off of the shadow wars stuff, but since there will be two gangs in the box, rule book, rice and card stock terrain and trying to keep the price down the terrain is what got cut. I'm sure if we look around we might find some terrain somewhere. Books under sheets for slag piles, pringles cans for towers, soda cans turned on their sides for chemical tanks. Somehow I think we can make due .

I believe it was a staple meal of my late teens and early twenties while Necromunda had its heyday.

The new Escherites seemed kind of "ugly", like old GW bad female sculpts, would have to grab me some statuesque heads to make me some Escher.

I've heard rumors that the box will have Shadow War terrain. We dont know, GW now controls their own leaks it seems. I Think Specialist Games have access to print cardstock, but not their own plastic terrain. It makes sense that they would use what is current.

Bean is staying at a luxurious Day Care facility, called Pampered Pets Bed & Biscuit, with all the amenities a dog could ever want. We have no children, so the Wife spoils the dog rather rotten.

Sounds good, and that way you can have a clear conscience and enjoy the con way better!

I have nothing specific in mind to pick up, so no dissapointment there if a line is ridiculously long (wizards of the coast or Privateer Press are usually obnoxiously long for all 4 days), and I dont even know if FW will be there, SO I can focus on what is new, or unknown.

The wife and I are back from Sunny Indianapolis, Indiana!



The fiftieth Year of GenCon Sold Out! and was a blast!

Every square inch of the Convention Center, and all the Hotel ballrooms and conference rooms, and the Field of the Lucas Oil Football Stadium!
Games of all kinds EVERYWHERE!

There were Cosplayers walking around everywhere, these are just some of my favorites


Terrain!!


Great Food!


A literal Convoy of 40 Food Trucks also visit daily, I had some amazing Schwarma from one on Friday
Indianapolis Businesses open their arms to geeks, they are VERY hospitable, and welcoming to a 4-day nerd invasion
Probably because it is estimated that we will have left $100 Million dollars in town over the past 4 or 5 days

And pints and pints, and pints of BEER!!


We walked 6-10 MILES per day, so we would often go back to the hotel bar in the heat of the afternoon, IT wad great food, and lots and lots of tables, that they allowed people to game on, every table in the world was being used for a game of some sort, usually piled with drinks and food

They allowed us to eat, drink, play and be merry. Here, Ladygeek says the Burgers were great, and I was munching on a giant Nacho plate while we played the Bob Ross Art of Chill game we bought.
This is but a summary, I have much more to share,

After a Quick Demo game Ladygeek and I both had at the booth, I bought into The Walking Dead: All Out War

Afterwards, in the Game Hall, I played a full game using the "Unhappy Campers" scenario, and had a blast!

The mechanics are so fun, and I'm all - in on this game. I have such crazy terrain ideas in my head.

The Laughing God of Nottingham smiled upon me too

The Reprint of the RT book in hardcover, just because it completes my collection, The Horus Heresy masterclass book, and the Knight Styrix featured in the book!, a minty old School Russ, and the sets of vines and bracken, not too shabby

Then there is this assortment of sexiness

The AVP APC- this thing is badass, Some AMAZING 4Ground MDF stuff, a Tectonic Studios boxcar, plus I sat through a class with Tectonic's owner, and built one of his Cottage kits, I'll show you that later,
