Loving the kan, and that third smurf pic is brlliant! . The rokkits could do with some more weathering IMO, just to make them a tad more muted.I'm loving that red shoulder on the kan, what colours did you use for that?

Thanks CK. The red shoulder on top is thinned mephiston red, let it dry then dabbed some evil suns scarlet on it. The ork emblem was painted with brass scorpion then washed with aggrax then nuln oil. Then for the jaw I stippled evil sunz scarlet over that.

Thanks! Need to get me some meph red and evil sunz scarlet I guess . I can do a decent mute'd red, but a vibrant red has been eluding me for a while now, and yours is just perfect.

The kan looks great, maybee on the rockits there needs to be some red flames?

Kan is looking good, the chipping helps. I never imagined Orks as being particularly careful when it comes to munitions husbandry! Shame about the lack of a smurf, could you not magnetise one so it was easy to remove when he comes around?

Here is the finished Killa Kans glamour shots. Sorry about not adding a smurf nor flames. Again thanks for all the input really helped to give the Kan more character.

You should add something red or yellow to the base to pick up the bright colors on the kan. Great work though!

Thank you Gitz, I did brighten up the tufts with some yellow dry brushing and a few specks of orange on them too.

That's a nice Killa Kan. I admire your restraint--there are just enough variations (reds, checks) to make the model interesting without seeming too busy.

Indeed , one of the most awesum oldschool lookin ones there is, but you know, you are now contractually obligated to build and paint more kans for the kan god

Thanks all for the kind words. Surprisingly I think this was the most difficult model to finish, there was a lot of hemming and hawing on how to finish it. Thank you all for the input.
@NotOnline there is 2 more unbuilt kans in the pile of shame so someday I will be tackling those.

Here some pictures of the finished Ultramarines, they have a thick coat of gloss as I promised the Grandspawn he could play with them. Plus I threw everything I painted this year on a desk and took a pic. There is also the chaos sorcerer I painted for a friend.

A great bunch of painted minis there Yorkright. For some reason the Space Crusade scout at the back stands out, probably because he looks about the size of a child next to the Primaris! I like how grimey the Necrons look alongside the Ultramarines. Have a Happy New Year!
