So....now I dont know what to do with it...

I'm thinking of a generic battlefield riser with street, pavement on top to add other things and provide more elevation changes

Do I just complete the small footprint?

Or do I go big?

Big enough to support other terrain?

Should there be ruined sections, forming a rubble pile ramp up?

Should there be a paved ramp up?

tough decisions...hmm... the low one definitly is not finished...a raiser section is certainly entertaining...but then it needs something more as only a flat surface... maybe some railings etc...

also of course is a means of getting up then needed...ramp, ladder or better even some wider stair system...

what i wanted to ask was, how did you get the sloped sections in these "column" parts youve build done?

@vik - I used little 45 degree triange stock pieces as backing filler material. Then the outside veneer piece was just a strip cut at 45 with the handheld angle cutter. THis automagically made the corresponding 45 degree angle needed to make 90 degrees. It was like a little puzzle

You can put all the railings or ruins you want on a flat surface

the triangle rod is a stroke of genius...

You can put all the railings or ruins you want on a flat surface
well...then this calls for some self supportive arrangements then? own base etc if you want to gave railings/ walls...

I think the base being a solid fortified part could be the entrance to your gangs hideout. The upper floors could be less bulkheadish and more brick or steel slabs(plasticard), with firing ports and lookouts.

Amazing build, Dave. I love seeing those old bulkhead pieces getting used.

You should definitely have a base that has a corner or side section caved in with loads of rubble and debris...maybe even a fallen water tank or crane that is crumpled in the heap as the obvious cause of the damage/cave-in.

A ramp could be cool, but at a slope that minis dont slide down, it would have to be pretty long...maybe a set of wide steps that can accommodate 25mm bases? Obviously, each of the bulkheads has it's own integral ladder, so not a necessity.

Looking forward to more updates!

I still cant decide......in the meantime. Some of you old-timers may remember a little project I started where I convertd a dollar store jeep into a GI JOE/COBRA V.A.M.P.

Well, someone finally made COBRA heads!

Incoming COBRA troops........

Just to throw it out there....how about a plain flat 'roof' piece as shown - no details, but a few strategic magnets, and then a magnetised actual roof section for a single storey build, and a couple of different magnetised builds for raising the level. Would mean you always have the option to come back and add different builds as and when they occur to you...... bridge sections, raised roadways, extra storeys, storage towers, landing pads..........
