Add Warp Spider and Shining Spear Phoenix Lords!

Warp Spider Phoenix Lord 200pts

Stats like all Phoenix Lords with same special rules: Warp Jump generator, Twin Linked Deathspinner, Spider Blades(Master Crafted Lightning Claws), Furious Charge, Infiltrate (on squad, if led) (Possibly with a webway portal like DE)

Shining Spear Phoenix Lord 200pts

Stats like all Phoenix lords with same special rules: Eldar Jetbike(+1T), Brightlance, Power Weapon, Haywire Grenades, Expert Rider, True Grit, Hit and Run, Tank Hunter

Seriously, the 4th ed. dexmakes ALL the PLs impractical. 200+ points for ONE model which is basically an exarch with all the options and wargear? Give me a break. Perhaps if the cost of PLs was cheaper, it would be more feasible...

Last game I used Asurman, he more then made up for his points. I'm actually interested in trying the others out. So why not?

I would much rather see a model of Arhra come out with rules. Ya spelling probably.
There are SOOO many hq choices already though. I just love the minimal fluff on this fallen scorpion and would give anything to see legite rules. He is my favorite 40k character bar none.

Each and every one of the PL's are worth their points.  The fact that they gave them the ability where they only take a wood instead of die from instakill weapons is the big difference.  You stick one of these guys with a squad and they are gonna get across the board to you and tear some stuff up.  Ever seen what Jan Zar (sp) does to a squad of marines?.....its not pretty.

In fact, its so broke I want 2. A model that moves 12, fleets, assaults for 6" and has infiltration as well? Thats insane! Furious charge and lightning claws? More overkill, plus he'll have like 5/6 attacks to boot? And I missed the master crafted part, thats entirely outside of eldar fluff. That'll easily be the best PL and everyone would take it, much like the harlequins now.

Play Chaos then.  They can kit their lords out to do pretty much what you just asked for.  And I bet it wouldn't cost nearly as much as the Phoenix Lord would.

Bah, everyone knows the Warp Spider Exarch is named FaZiiip, and the Shining Spear Exarch is named Yama-Suzi-Kawa-Honda...  Sheesh

No, that was FaZiiip as in the comic book noise indicating somebody teleported.

An Autarch can basically do what you are proposing with a Warp Spider PL. Isint it already enough that Eldar have more special characters than any other codex?

I think a Warp Spider Phoenix Lord would have a 12' S6 Assault 2 AP1 pinning gun and master crafted power blades, but his special should be "Master of the Warp" which lets you ignore the results of a double on your 2nd jump. If he carried a warp portal, so much the better. GW should have kept that piece of wargear in the new codex. It would have gone a long way to make all infantry eldar more competative.

The Shining Spear Phoenix Lord would have a S8 power weapon all the time, Bright lance, and a "Blinding Flash" where he places the large template down and any non eldar takes a T6 hit with no AP. For he is the spear of Khaine, that strikes like lightning and kills with a single blow.

I like these rules except master crafted...everything eldar do is master crafted!
