I dunno @commissarK, It's a lot like Riveting, you get into a flow, achieve a zen-state so to speak. Besides, I have to show SOME skill improvement since the last buildings 7 years ago

@commissar well, you're in Luck!
How do I keep them all consistent throughout the process? no one asked?

I made this simple jig from PVC foam, nylon would've been better as it's glue resistant, but this is what I had handy

I'm actually quite embarrassed that my square has that rust on it, Steel Tools need to stay dry and oiled kids!

Bathroom Wall

I didnt quite leave enough wall here, oops..I will fix this and hopefully it'll look like this walled-off stairway area was sturdy enough to hold up some of the roof when the rest collapsed. If my Illusions work

we recently moved...and i am still not able to work for the hobby...instead i the stuff you´re showing in RL scale^^
soon....soon...hopefully...

as for the rust... with enough arm grease you can get rid of that

also...question: anyone ever used a drill jig for pocket holes...it´s something i want to buy to use for the next big project... my own work bench...

Hey Vik! Did you and the family move out of the historic flats and into a home? If so, that's fantastic news!
And YES, I have used a Pocket Hole Jig! I have the medium-sized 3-hole jig and from Kreg.
I used it on this failed attempt at a mid-century record storage cabinet.

I mean it works, but I didnt mask it right, and you can see the black stain got all over the edge of the top board.
I wouldn't use a pocket hole without glue, as I'd trust the wood glue more, especially if you're going to put any kind of weight or pressure. If I had this jig when I built my workbenches here in the basement, I could've saved a lot of extra lumber, but I dunno if it would be as bomb-shelter-like strong. Do I need that much strength? probably not.
In success stories though, I used it in some places building this bench out in the barn

THIS is attached to the walls, as a result it seems almost anvil-like, as I can hammer on it all day with a mallet and chisel and nothing rattles, especially not the big glass window.

Anyways, I'm excited for you! There is a supreme satisfaction from building your own workbench!

well glue is always there... so it will see it´s use.. and yes...i want a workbench as sturdy and atom bomb proof as it gets...

so long we made to beds for my kids... one to be a lofty one and one to be just raised to a slightly higher than hip level... all worked on by my wife and me... we even used a circular saw. i mention this as it was my first time using one of them big guns^^
with every project the confidence rises... thus i am thinking of getting me one of these jigs... hmm...

also...i think about getting me a miter saw soon...thus enabling me to upgrade my projects even more^^ 45° angles for me^^

and no...we didn´t move into our own home... it was time to give each kid his own door, so to speak and we wanted to leave the big city... now we are kind of in the middle of nowhere in germany... our own house would have costed way too much... even tho you would have something for yourself...(it´s the old age argument... but you can only get rich when you´re rich already...
