Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House! |

I had intentions of writing up my own stats for tau weaponry, but my friend also pointed out flaws in there being an ethereal. my other greater-good loving pal begged for an ethereal to show up, so I decided that the ethereal would show up after the diplomat was messily executed, grumbling, "If you want something done right you got to do it your self." My friend is actually thinking about using that as an excuse to start a tau warband, with the ethereal being the inquisitor and his escort his retinue. I pointed out that he would only be able to use it for the rest of the campaign, but he's very stubborn.
I was actually going to use the marines as a separate force, sent on infil and sabo missions. The only one who would spend any great amount of time in Damien's retinue would be the dark angel. I am going to start my own thread, Tacos Inq28 blog 'o bloggy bloggyness . I'm still getting the hang of posting pictures though, so you all will have to settle for fluff n stuff.
I like the favela-style. What's it for, a settlement on the outskirts of Nova Castille? I can't wait to read that report. I also liked the last one, with Balthier cutting his way through the cultists to get to the seer. I also kind of enjoyed the brief sequences we followed Slim.
TACOSSS
P.S. I can imagine the favela scenario know,
[i] Balthier stepped lightly through the settlement's streets, aware that he would easily be cut down if ambushed. Suddenly he heard the revving of a chainsaw, and spun around to see a cultist rushing madly at him. Balthier drew his power sword and blocked the man's blow, drawing his plasma pistol and blowing off the man's head. He heard a grunt up on the catwalk above, and turned to see Salem "Slim" Rios backflipping over a man as another ganger lunged with his blade, all the while shooting a group of rushing scum. Balthier turned and fired his pistol at another one of his attackers. As bullets pattered around him, he became filled with the adrenaline of a trained killer.[/u]

Nice looking scenery there mate. Looking forward to seeing it get the weathering and detailing treatment.
The RT is looking good already and that new female fig fits in very well stylistically (the knee pads are almost identical to the kal jerico figures).
Happy to do some sculpting, feel free to shoot me a pm or email to discuss as I've finished the commission I had on the go when last we spoke about it.
Cheers,

We're full steam ahead, getting ready for our next INQ28 game (which should be taking place this weekend on Saturday!)
Today we assembled the buildings we've spent the past month or so making, and here's what we've got thus far:
We've spent this evening putting the finishing touches to the building and then starting to paint them. Hopefully we'll be ready by Saturday!

I wasn't expecting the shack to be pink... I'm very interested to see where you go from here.
It's a very cool board. I'm sorry if you've said it already, but how many models are you going to field in one game? I'm working on a board but I'm having trouble figuring what size it should be.
The mini's are awesome, by the way.

Well, the streets still seem a little too open. The way I remember Favela, you were constantly jittery running through alleyways, wondering when someone would come out of one of the sidepaths and pop you in the back. If you're playing with lots of minis, I guess it's good. It just doesn't really feel cramped enough to capture that slum feel. It still looks great though

This is some really awesome stuff Molotov! All of your INQ 28mm stuff is absurdley inspirational, putting this easily in the top five INQ logs I've seen (which, over the years, puts it up in a very high spot!). I'm particularly fond of your female techpriest, so much so that I converted my own version of one for my army. Your painting is superb as well, you're going to have to do some tutorial on one of your miniatures whenever you have a chance.
On a side note, I recognize your avatar symbol from a Space Marine army called the Castigators, would you in fact be that chapter's creator?

Hey guys, thanks to everybody that's commented to keep this thread afloat whilst I've been doing various other things.
@ Accolade: An accolade indeed! I was really various pleased (and flattered) to receive your comment. I am indeed the guy who created the Castigators, and you can see them here. I've not done anything with them in a while - I'm surprised anyone remembers them!
@ Phoenikuz/Agro: Thanks for the compliments, I really appreciate them.
@ Logan: Interesting question. I've never really wanted to actually realise any of the Abnett characters in model form, though the novels have proven exceptionally inspirational. The Eisenhorn trilogy ranks as my favourite Black Library series. Inquisitor Hoth is based somewhat around Eisenhorn's aesthetics, whilst Fischig inspired me to include an Abritrator in Hoth's retinue - hence Titus Dio.
Here's some various pictures; first up, a summary of what Steve and I have achieved:
Titus Dio, Arbitrator
Titus Dio and his Cyber-Mastiff
Saul Baltasar, Rogue
Sylus Tem, Sage
Inquisitor Theodor Adorno
Seraphael, The Whisperprince
"Mourn", Mercenary
Inquisitor Adorno, "Mourn" and Seraphael
Deathwatch Marine of the Sword Bearers Chapter.
I'm in the middle of trying to type up the latest battle report in our campaign, but it's slow going - here's the pictures I've taken which I'll put up and hopefully you can get some enjoyment out of them!
(L-R) Salem "Slim" Rios, Inquisitor Alaric Balthier, Ishmael Castor
The retinue of Interrogator Ra'ef Venris
Some shots on the scenery we played on (we may touch it up as we continue to use it)

This log has been neglected a little, which I guess means I have plenty to post.
Steve and I managed to work on Inquisitor Hoth:
First off, he was like this:
The ideas progressed to this...
...and ended up like this:
Finally up-to-date. I posted the conversion of Ophelia back in March. I sent her to Steve a few months ago, and he's gotten round to painting her.
For those wondering, the original miniature is Viktoria, Bounty Hunter from the 'Outcasts' Malifaux line. They've got some nice models, but they're 32mm compared to the heroic 28mm of Games Workshop. Whilst she's a little tall, I don't think it's a deal-breaker. After all, she's an ex-Battle Sister (now you know what's under that armour!)
The laspistol is a FW resin one from the Cadian Accessories, and the Chainsword is from the Space Marine Scout Sergeant, primarily because it's a little bit shorter and more compact. Dare I say ladylike?
This is just a work-in-progress, but is definitely showing the direction we're intending to go with her.

Thanks for the comments. I did realise the two laspistols looked that different?
Anyway, I have good news and bad news.
The good news is that Ophelia is just about completed:
The bad news is that she's getting scrapped. Unfortunately, the chainsword hand was a little 'injured' in the conversion -moreso than I'd realised. As a result, Steve's ordered a new Viktoria model and is going to attempt to replicate the conversion.
Oh, but I do have some good news - Doghouse has agreed to sculpt a couple of models for my INQ28 campaign, so keep your eyes peeled for those!
