BT uses the Codex Astartes as toilet paper. They’re an Imp Fist successor, recruit from multiple planets, and are known to be the largest Chapter in the galaxy. They’re on a constant Crusade, keeping it real for the Emperor and not bumming around like the other guys. They hate psykers and can’t ally with them. They’re basically an entire chapter of Chaplains. CC lunatics. What every Space Marine should aspire to be, if not trapped in a Matt Ward nightmare

Great tutorial, I found it useful and easy to follow. I've also had some recent experience with Greenstuff sculpting and converting, I created a YouTube video tutorial and posted it on dakka not so long ago. Here's the original post along with some tips and tricks I'd like to share with you:

Using a piece of clear acrylic as your work surface. You can get this at most craft stores or even at your local DIY home improvement stores. It's a nice smooth surface that can be lubricated easily and is portable. I use a smaller square that is slicked to flatten out my green stuff into nice smooth, thin sheets.

A clay scraping blade, a thin , very sharp blade I use to lift gs off my work surface and make nice clean straight cuts.

Alternatives for lubrication: Canola, sunflower or safflower oil work well. I also use a product called Coolslip sold from a jewelry making site (cooltools.com) that works for me. I usually apply a little to my acrylic surface so it doesn't stick

Rubber clay shapers are a great way to expand your tool arsenal.

Super glue helps to tack Green stuff to your model. Its especially helpful when the gs starts to firm up and your trying to tack on a strap or section of a robe.

Some good alternatives to milliput for understructures I've found are Aves Studios Apoxy putties. I use Fixit sculpt which dries even harder than milliput and can also be mixed with GS for hard edge applications. And if your in a hurry and don't want to wait a day for milliput to harden try using the Faststeel epoxy putties found in Hardware stores. It hardens rock hard in 5 minutes but it has only about a 1 or 2 minute working time so you have to move fast with it. This is the same stuff sold as Instant Putty and Stick Putty. I just used it last night to sculpt the robe on this Crusader I'm converting from a Scout/Cadian:

This probably varies fronm country to country; but in Australia I get mine from a store called back to base-ix that have a website and an ebay presence. ~110 grams (36 inches) for $14.95 free postage in Aus.

America, somewhere like maelstromgames could be cheaper or the like.

I've also heard cardstock can substitute the milliput first stage on the tabard, although I am yet to test this for myself.

Just in that small tutorial I have learned so much thank you and you make it look so easy . I will use these techniques the next time I try to sculpt a robe . Im sure I will have improved greatly because of your tips . Thank you and I hope to see more soon .

The only poorly painted miniature is the one that is not painted.

This is so nicely done. Thank you for sharing.

Adam's Motto: Paint, Create, Play, but above all, have fun. -and for something silly below-

"We are the Ultramodrines, And We Shall Fear No Trolls. bear this USR with pride".

Also, how does one apply to be a member of the Ultramodrines? Are harsh trials involved, ones that would test my faith as a wargamer and resolve as a geek?

You must recite every rule of Dakka Dakka. BACKWARDS.
