Why not designate one of them as a Jamming gunboat? It loses the ability to transport a dreadnought, but confers a 5+ cover save to all Stormravens in the formation.

Good thing I have sworn off big flyers after all the pain of transporting/storing/playing vendettas then, so I get to not put that freakshow on the table.

Nice idea! Try designating one of them as "Command flyer"- that has +1 BS and the jammer?

It looks like a boxed up piece of that would fall flat on it's boxed up face as soon it leaves the strike-crusier. No, bad GW. I had high hopes for them too, after releasing the new DE too!

I'll probably hack the wings off and move them forward, over the side-hatch. The way they are attached now, they'd snap off as soon as this thing tried to take off. Looks like it'd be a pain to transport, too.

Yeah, Dreds and Assault squads don't scatter when they drop from the Ravens.

It looks like an aircraft from a slightly estranged childrens television show, it looks better when I picture it in a sea of flames!

they had to design a flying vehicle that could carry 12 men and a dread while packing tons of fire power. i think it looks good. the high cockpit means troops are carried a deck below, which also means its high enough to carry a dread.
plus think of the other options, that top turret mounted on a razorback will be awesome. i know im gonna magnetise them so when im playing air cav i have 3 stormravens and when playing razorback spam ill have 3 very cool razorback turrets.

Personally I think it is an ugly piece of crap.

still think its awesome. i used to hate the look of the leman russ but now like it so im sure some haters will learn to like.
as for people saying about moving the wings forward and looks thin at the back etc. imagine it with a dreadnought on the back and it suddenly makes sense, and assault vehicles for dreads are great straight away, bye bye razorbacks and squads if a dread gets dropped off and meltas the razorback then assaults the troops left out in the open with its blood talons while the squad of men get out and melta another vehicle and assault the troops from that one.

so in one turn with 3 stormravens fully loaded you could shoot 12 bloodstrike missiles at 3 targets while shooting 3 twin las and 3 twin multi melta at another 3 targets, then let loose 3 dreads to shoot and assault with blood talons, meltas etc, while 3 squads of men shoot and assault 3 other targets. total carnage in one turn.

How? The Leman Russ looks fine.

If it had more of a back part to it then i would consider it but otherwise it just looks like a flying metal box.

the leman russ to me looked to much like a ww1 tank so completely old fashioned. i love modern tanks so would rather see the IG have modern sleek tanks but after getting into IG just because i like vendettas then i began to like the russ.
Im still a big fan of the leman russ punisher when alot of people hate it. but anything that allows you to roll 20 dice has to be good

It looks like it would tip forward in flight its front is so fat. Although many will disagree, I think its terrible-I thought it would be better but I guess they didn't want to copy the valkyrie (which is a pretty slick model) too much.

Well, I'm creating a back out of plasticard, and then leaving the rear open, so the dread can satnd inside instead of having to cling onto the back. Will look better too IMO.
