K'llien looks as surprised as you, the expression lasting mere moments before he replaces it with cold indifference. "It would seem that a third party has entered into our little game... No matter, the Bonesage of the Cult of Malleus has requested an assassin to accompany them to the Dragons Teeth Mountains, to seek out the source of a necromantic wellspring. Any volunteers?"

The wolves were hot on his heels, and Dannin was growing short of breath. The goblins had been chasing him and his band for several days, across the forested foothills of the Dragons Teeth. Turning his head back, the elf could make out several mounted goblins on worgs, the evil wolves howling in anger.

The barren and sharp tips of mountain peaks stab into the sky, perytons circle the highest peaks some miles off. The fortress of Orcholde lies below, an ugly box of grey stone.

An arrow from the mercenary's bow pierces the heart of a worg, and it pitches it's rider off as it dies.

If I cannot raise dead, I sneak to the gray box because it might have orcs in it.

You begin your descent down the cliff face, making your way to the back of Orcholde.

The massive warrior recovers, off-balanced by his own devastating swing, spins around with his sword held high to meet another attacker, and stops. A moment passes as he stares, startled by the newcomer who had just entered through the tunnel behind him.
"I wasn't aware I was followed. And here I thought I was being so quiet." He jests.

"oh. You look as surprised as I must look! Haahaa. It's you isn't it? were you part of the scouting party? Nice to see a face that isn't ugly and green finally."

The big man strides across the room towards a tied up Goblin, wiping his sword clean of green ichor and nudging the lower half of an orc corpse with his foot as he passes it, as if to make sure it's really dead. "heh heh. Half-orc." he grunts. "Never trusted half-orcs. Haha!"

He picks up the bound Goblin over his shoulder and turns back to the newcomer.
"Forgive my manners, I am Otto of Plugh, and this," he lightly taps the half-conscious goblin on the head with the flat of his broadsword, "this is my friend Flail. He is so friendly he is helping me play a game called 'which way to the gate'. Would you care to play? It's great fun, isn't it Flail? I'll even let you have the first turn since you are new to the game! Go ahead and ask Flail, 'where's the gate?'.

He turns to Flail, all trace of humor gone from his broad face, "remember little one, there are plenty of others who can play this game too. Be careful when you answer him or I will have to find a new player."

Otto smiles, a rather intimidating smirk more than a smile. "I would hate to have to find someone else to play my game, not when we are becoming such great friends, Flail. So be very careful when you answer the man."

"So, that's settled then, would you care to ask him?" Otto asks the newcomer.

There are a group of tunnels used by goblins that crisscross Orcholde.

Things had been going according to plan. First, he had alerted the guard, then he had fallen down a well while on fire, then he had been pushed back in by spiteful goblins, to top it all off, he was left for dead in a midden after goblins had kicked him for several hours. In short, it was a bad day. Now the gnome lay in the midden heap, smelling the foul smells of the remains of whatever it was orcs ate.

You take shelter with the rest of your band in an oak tree, the goblins holding torches make to burn you out.

The Necromancer slips into one of the tunnels, and crawls until he reaches what appears to be a larder, and it has been recently raided.
