We are very pleased to release our latest space demon, Giganotomorphus rex. These creatures are born ready to fight, and maintain the same appearance throughout their lifetime as they grow larger and larger. So this model, which is about 90mm long from jaws to tail spike, can be used with either 15mm or 6mm models. Used with 15s it's about the size of a large Tyrannosaur -- with 6mm models it's the creature that takes on enemy mecha on equal terms.

Available now:

We've just released a range of 15mm Dwarves which are available now. Our intent was to make them somber in pose and appearance, plausible and with a strong Norse look and feel. There are packs for command; axemen of course (seen below), including a separate set of elite bodyguards; yeoman types to form a defensive shield wall; and archers. They can be seen here:
http://khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/15mmfantasy.html

We are also running a special until around midnight Monday night -- a Dwarf Yuletide Force in which the command set is free. Something to tell your better half about for Christmas perhaps! (Or to treat yourself for the holidays.)

One of my favorite starship lines as a teenager had the humans and four alien races, and one of the alien races were Avian. That range didn't release infantry figurines (they did ships and tanks) and so as a salute to that I released a few codes for an Avian race called the Hauk, who are derived from raptorial birds.

The sets proved surprisingly popular despite the small number of codes, so I decided to expand the infantry with higher level support and similar -- a Weapons and Command set -- which is available now.
http://khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/15mmscifi.html

The set includes a casualty ("right in the wing!"), an officer and senior NCO, a marksHauk, and two weapons platform teams, which come with enough tubes to make a battery of two plasma cannons, or RAM mortars, or one of each. I suppose you can swap them out if you magnetise the parts.

They were supposed to have a light battle mech as well, but unfortunately after being paid for two years ago, the caster still has not delivered it.

I'm curious what the mech was supposed to look like.

Any renders out there of it?

Any word on the scifi dragon guys?

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

We are very pleased to release our latest model in our Planet 15 range of cinematic sci fi -- the Sea Monster.

It's been made with flippers large enough so that it can get about on dray land for extended periods of time. The model is two parts, each in resin -- the lower jaw being a separate part. The round base shown in the image and the fleeing scientists are not included (the scientists are sold separately by us).

Available now:
http://khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/planet15.html

And it's also been added to our fantasy Salamen range (we think a battle between the sea monster and the Great Swamp Lizard would be great fun, although rather unfair to the sea monster):

We are very pleased to release our latest “Europe 46-49” armoured fighting vehicle in 15mm scale, the Soviet IS-4. A competing design to the IS-3, the IS-4 was basically an “IS-2 from Hell,” with the same huge cannon but heavier armour and a longer hull.

Whilst we provide a fictional background for this range, the IS-4 was in fact actually designed and manufactured, over 200 being built. Soviet armoured philosophy changed in the meantime, with MBTs replacing the medium and heavy tank distinctions, and the IS-4 was stationed in heavy tank battalions in the Far East. However, had there been a war in Europe between the Allies and Soviets on the heels of the defeat of the Germans, the IS-4 would likely have seen action. The IS-4 had early and later stowage and external tank configurations, and pewter parts are provided for both.

Available now.

We have just released four new codes in our 15mm Later 14th century range, for Hungarians. These can use the Germans or our upcoming Italians for their men-at-arms, but they need special codes for the Cumans, the Szekeley border horse, and ethnic Hungarian archers on foot and mounted, and we have released all of those. Cumans are useful in several other armies in this period as well (such as in the Mongol armies and in Russian forces as the Polovetsians (well known for their Dance No. 2 by Borodin!). Hungarians also served in Free Companies in Italy during this period.

Available now, at this link (they are at the bottom of the page):

We have just added English and French personalities to our extensive 15mm range of late 14th Century medievals. The Englishmen are (l to r) John of Gaunt, the Black Prince, and the Third Earl of Stafford. The French are Bertrand du Guesclin, Olivier de Clisson, and Louis de Sancerre. As with all of the men at arms in this range, they are available on a variety of different horses (they are shown on the caparisoned horses but also may be purchased with unarmoured or armoured horses.

We have just expanded our 15mm range of Late 14th Century Medievals with three packs plus one booster set. These are Low Countries spearmen, a booster pack for same, Teutonic Knight Dienstleute with spears and pavises, and the same with crossbows.

The Low Countries infantrymen are in eight poses, all protected to differing extents, half with leg armour as well. They have separate shields enough for all eight -- half are depicted in the image without to show how they look. The booster set is the same, but it adds eight of the nightmarish Plancon spiked clubs that dealt such death to the French knights at Courtrai in 1302. The plancon can be added instead of the spear, and you can also stick the plancon on so that it's wielded two-handed. I would recommend using a mix of German and French crossbowmen for the Low Countries, and a mix of Western and (mostly) German knights for the cavalry.

The Teutonic sets have the men in surcoats. These were feared adversaries, the spearmen being very well protected, some even wearing visored bascinets. (The spearmen are depicted in white surcoats but seem to have got a special dispensation from the Brethren to do so, as wearing white was forbidden in the ordenstaat as a symbol of paganism -- except for the Brethren of course!) These would have commonly worn grey and had the Tau cross as a symbol, which looked like a T instead of a complete cross.

We’ve just added the T-72AV tank to several of our Cold War to modern 15mm ranges. This was the T-72A tank with ERA, which makes the tank much more survivable against HEAT rounds and to some extent against other rounds as well. This tank was introduced in the mid 1980s to Soviet forces, and has been widely used by the Syrian government forces as its premier main battle tank.

It’s available now, here:

Khurasan Miniatures are very pleased to release the first models in our 28mm polar fantasy adventure range, Polartrek. The first two models are the Crown Princess Adelaide and her surly teenaged booklugging apprentice, Tyleen. There's a complete backstory and character profiles as well. We are confident that the Polartrek storyline would play out very well in any of a number of fantasy rules systems. The next release will include several different types of animals encountered on Adelaide's polar adventure, and a huge, savage Semgall tribesman who accompanies her to the Northern Pole. Following that will be some lower level pedites (foot soldiers) and other hangers on who accompanied her on her quest.

The first models are available now:

We are very pleased to release seven new codes for our 15mm Late Fourteenth Century range, all for Eastern Europe.  These are Polish and Teutonic Knight sets.  The Polish sets include some troops in scale armour, which remained popular in Poland in this period.  The Teutonic Knight "Knechte" (who were supposed to form up near the baggage and pray as hard as they could) and the Polish Czeladz (followers) sets come with enough spears, shields and crossbows to make all three spear or crossbow armed.  These models are perfectly suitable for the epic Battle of Tannenberg in 1410.

They're available now:

Teutonic Order Knechte or sergeants

Teutonic Order Prussian Levy Infantry

Polish Czeladz (Followers) (use German Knight figurines for Polish)

We are very pleased to offer our first expansion of our 28mm Polar Trek range of fantasy — three sets of animals. We have a pair of wolves, a wild boar, and a pack of giant rats. The rats are approximately 18 to 19mm long from nose to end of tail, the boar and wolves are boar- and wolf-sized, respectively. (In other words they do not suffer from fantasy gigantism!)

We've just released the first set of our 20mm sci fi range, “Under Three Suns,” about a massive human effort to colonize a planet in the habitable zone in the tri-star system Alpha Centauri, which gets more than it bargains for, then MUCH more than it bargains for. The range can be seen here (it's just one code so far):

http://khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/20mmscifi.html

The first release is of the ColSec forces, very well equipped Colonial Security with armour and weapons brought from Earth. It's a set of seven poses. The models are made for 20mm scale gamers so are approximately 25mm head to sole.

After the colonisation is fiercely contested by the warlike natives, the colony has no choice but the press its youth into action, and the CYRs (Colonial Youth Regiments) are raised, boys 13-15 years old, with cheaper weapons and armour produced by the limited industrial capacity on the colonies as these hang on by the skin of their teeth. The CYRs will be released next, followed by Shunq tribal warriors, who are substantially taller than humans.
